Abstract

This study was motivated by observations conducted by the researcher regarding students at SDN 09 Cilincing, Jakarta. The issue addressed in this study stems from the high level of gadget usage among students, which can have both positive and negative impacts on learning outcomes. Gadgets serve not only as a source of entertainment but also as a medium for accessing information and supporting learning activities. However, uncontrolled gadget usage can affect students' concentration and academic achievement. This study aims to determine the influence of gadget usage on students' learning outcomes. A quantitative research method with a survey approach was employed, involving students from classes VI A and VI B. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The study sample consisted of 60 students from SDN 09 Cilincing, Jakarta, selected using the saturated sampling technique (a method where the entire population is included in the sample). The results of the Product Moment coefficient test yielded an "rxy" (or "ro") value of 0.411. Meanwhile, the "rt" values from the table were 0.254 at the 5% significance level and 0.330 at the 1% significance level. Thus, it is evident that "ro" > "rt" at both the 5% and 1% significance levels. Consequently, the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the Null Hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that gadget usage influences the learning outcomes of students at SDN 09 Cilincing, Jakarta.
