<![CDATA[The implementation of the Qur'an memorization program at Al-Mukarramul Junaidiyah Islamic Middle School, Batu Putih, East Luwu has been running as a flagship program, but still faces obstacles in fostering students' memorization. The study aims to analyze the factors that hinder the implementation of the Qur’an memorization program across three aspects: program planning and management, Qur’an teacher competence, and memorization learning methods. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and document review. The data sources include the principal, the tahfiz coordinator, tahfiz teachers, students, and supporting documents. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, which involves data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions as well as verification. The research results show that obstacles in the planning and management aspect include less than optimal mapping of student needs, scheduling, division of halaqah, availability of learning spaces, teacher-student ratios, and follow-up evaluation. In terms of teacher competence, the obstacles are seen from the limited number of teachers, workload, and uneven individual mentoring.
