<![CDATA[The academic participation of passive students remains a challenge in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic elementary school) instruction due to low student engagement in classroom activities. This situation highlights a gap between the demands of active learning and actual classroom practices. This study aims to analyze the influence of peer coaching and psychological safety on the academic participation of passive students at MI Miftahul ‘Ulum Cikarang Barat. A quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design was employed. The sample consisted of 35 students selected via purposive sampling based on characteristics indicating a tendency toward low academic participation. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that had undergone validity and reliability testing. Data analysis was conducted using simple and multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS software. The results indicate that peer coaching has a positive and significant effect on the academic participation of passive students, contributing 26.8%. Psychological safety also exerts a positive and significant influence, contributing 31.7%. Simultaneous analysis reveals that peer coaching and psychological safety combined have a stronger impact on enhancing the academic participation of passive students. The findings demonstrate that peer support and psychological safety play a crucial role in boosting students' confidence to ask questions, engage in discussions, and participate actively in learning. This study contributes to the development of collaborative and humanistic learning strategies aimed at creating a participatory learning environment at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level.]]>
