<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of pseudo motivation in Aqidah Akhlak learning among tenth-grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah 01 Jember. Pseudo motivation refers to a condition in which students appear motivated externally, while their learning behavior is primarily driven by grades, obligations, or external demands rather than intrinsic motivation. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with the Aqidah Akhlak teacher and students, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source triangulation. The findings indicate that pseudo motivation arises from limited student engagement, monotonous teaching methods, and the dominance of external motivation. Nevertheless, teachers play a strategic role in reducing pseudo motivation by implementing clear learning objectives, varied instructional strategies (interactive lectures, discussions, case studies, quizzes), and utilizing instructional media, including digital tools. Meaningful and interactive learning fosters authentic student motivation and supports the achievement of Aqidah Akhlak learning objectives.]]>
