Jurnal Pendidikan, Sosial dan Humaniora adalah jurnal ilmiah yang menerbitkan hasil penelitian dan kajian akademik di bidang pendidikan, ilmu sosial, dan humaniora. Selain itu, jurnal ini juga membahas berbagai aspek sosial seperti kebudayaan, kebijakan publik, sosiologi, serta isu-isu dalam humaniora seperti filsafat, sejarah, sastra, dan bahasa. Abstract

This research aims to analyse the role of identity politics in Indonesia's multicultural society and its impact on social and political dynamics, particularly through social media in political campaigns. In Indonesia, which has high ethnic, religious and cultural diversity, political parties and legislative candidates often utilize identity politics to mobilise support from certain groups. Social media, as a key platform in modern political campaigns, plays an important role in reinforcing or defusing identity-based social polarisation. This research uses a literature study approach to review literature related to identity politics, social conflict, and the impact of social media in strengthening or defusing tensions between groups. The results show that identity politics, while it can strengthen solidarity within certain groups, also has great potential to increase social polarisation to the detriment of social cohesion. Intensive identity-based campaigns on social media often exacerbate tensions between ethnic or religious groups, which risks undermining national political stability. This research also found that while social media can exacerbate social divisions, it also has the potential to ease tensions through inclusive narratives that reinforce pluralism. Overall, this research provides insight into the challenges and opportunities faced in managing identity politics in Indonesia, as well as how social media can be used wisely to maintain political and social stability.

Abstract

Road transportation safety is a major challenge in Indonesia, with the number of accidents increasing every year. The Human Resource Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has developed a safe road education and training curriculum as one of the efforts to improve the competence of the workforce in the road transportation sector. This article analyzes the macro and micro curriculum development of the training, including objectives, content, methods, and evaluation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with document analysis. The results of the analysis show that there is a mismatch between the formulation of objectives and the national qualifications framework, a lack of relevance of the material to the needs of society and the latest technology, and deficiencies in assessment methods and instruments. This article recommends revising the curriculum to ensure its relevance and effectiveness in supporting safe driving in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers’ perceptions of character formation in students through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Data were taken from five journal articles relevant to the topic, published between 2020 and 2024. The results of the study indicate that the role of teachers is very significant in shaping students' character through the integration of values ​​such as responsibility, honesty, discipline, love, and caring in the learning process. Modern technology, such as multimedia, has the potential to support character building, but requires infrastructure readiness and teacher training. Religious values ​​are also a strong foundation in character education, especially at an early age level, to instill morals and ethics. However, the influence of technology, external culture, and lack of supervision are challenges in maintaining students' character. Character surveys in national assessments are considered useful for understanding students' character comprehensively and helping teachers design more effective learning. This study recommends ongoing teacher training, integration of character values ​​in the curriculum, wise use of technology, and collaboration between schools, families, and communities to create an educational ecosystem that supports the formation of students’ character.

Abstract

Patih Sengkuni is a puppet character who has a cunning, misguided and misleading character (dhal wal mudhil). This qualitative research using literature study will analyze Patih Sengkuni's misguided behavior from the perspective of Islamic religious teachings. The data analysis technique uses content analysis by sorting things according to the focus and objectives of the research. This research resulted in the conclusion that several of Patih Sengkuni's significant errors related to the prohibition of Islamic teachings, include: his fondness for cursing with the HR. Ahmad; significant hasud with HR. Bukhari and Muslim; likes to slander significantly with QS. Al-Buruj verse 10 and QS. Al-Baqarah verse 191; fond of cheating significantly with HR. Muslim, QS. An-Nahl verse 105, and HR. Abu Daud; significant cheating with QS. Al-Muthaffifin verse 1; cruel inhumane significant with QS. Ibrahim verse 42 and QS. As-Syuara verse 227; always aspire to high office with a significant evil path with QS. Al-Hadid verse 20 and QS. Al-Baqarah verse 188; likes to demonize significant opponents with QS. Al-Hujurat verse 11, QS. Al-Humazah verse 1, and HR. Turmudzi; and justify any significant means with QS. Al-A'raf verse 56 and QS. Al-Maidah verse 33. Apart from that, in fact Patih Sengkuni's misguided and misleading character (dhal wal mudhil) is still very numerous and cannot be counted, so it can be said that there is nothing positive in him at all.

Abstract

The digital era brings significant changes in various aspects of life, including in parenting patterns and Islamic religious education for children. Parents have a major role in instilling Islamic values ​​as provisions for children in facing increasingly rapid technological developments. This study aims to analyze the role of parents in instilling Islamic religious education in the digital era and the challenges faced. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through literature studies from various related sources, such as journals, books, and previous studies. The results of the study show that parents face various challenges in guiding children, such as exposure to negative content, cyberbullying, social media addiction, and declining interest in religious learning. To overcome these challenges, parents need to implement effective strategies, such as providing role models, familiarizing children with Islamic worship and morals, utilizing technology wisely, and carrying out ongoing supervision and guidance. With a balanced approach between conventional methods and modern technology, parents can guide children to maintain strong Islamic values ​​amidst the rapid flow of digital information. Therefore, increasing digital literacy for parents is a crucial aspect in ensuring Islamic religious education remains relevant and effective in the modern era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the government in the implementation of MSME empowerment programs in Makassar City, with a focus on access to capital and training. MSMEs have an important role in the regional economy, but they still face various challenges, especially in obtaining financing and increasing business capacity. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through interviews with MSME actors, government representatives, and financial institutions, and was strengthened by observation and documentation studies. The results of the study show that the Makassar City government has provided various capital access programs, such as People's Business Credit (KUR) and revolving capital assistance, which help MSMEs in business development. However, there are still obstacles in the complex administrative process, requirements that are difficult to meet, and lack of socialization. In terms of training, the program has improved the skills of MSME actors, especially in digital marketing and product innovation. Nevertheless, the sustainability of the program and post-training mentoring are still a major challenge. The novelty of this research lies in an in-depth analysis of the synergy between the government, financial institutions, and the business community in empowering MSMEs. The implication is that the government needs to simplify capital access procedures, increase the effectiveness of training through a technology-based approach, and strengthen mentoring programs for MSMEs. This research contributes to the development of more inclusive and sustainable policies to support the growth of MSMEs in Makassar City.

Abstract

Moral learning is a fundamental aspect in Islamic education, especially in Islamic boarding schools. This study aims to examine the implementation of learning the book Syi'ir Ngudi Susilo in shaping the morals of female students towards teachers at the Al Qutub Wonopringgo Pekalongan Islamic Boarding School. This book was chosen because of its relevant content in instilling the values ​​of akhlakul karimah and strengthening the manners of students towards teachers. The research method used was qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using data reduction, presentation, and verification techniques based on the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results of the study showed that the dominant learning methods used were bandongan and memorization. The bandongan method allows female students to understand the contents of the book directly through the teacher's explanation, while the memorization method helps them internalize the teachings of the book. Although most female students showed an increase in morals towards teachers, there were still obstacles such as being unaccustomed to applying the values ​​taught, academic pressure from schools and boarding schools, and limited communication with teachers. This study confirms that moral education in Islamic boarding schools requires supporting strategies such as more adaptive learning methods, academic and moral balance, and a conducive learning environment. Further research is expected to explore the effectiveness of other methods in increasing the internalization of moral values ​​in the lives of female students.

Abstract

Students’ ability to read and understand the Qur’an and carry out the obligation of prayer is an important aspect in spiritual development at the elementary level. Students with strong spirituality tend to have better learning behavior. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah plays a role in spiritual development through various religious programs to strengthen students’ religious values. This study aims to analyze the effect of the tahfidz program, congregational prayer program, and religious programs on students’ learning behavior at MI Nurul Athhar Kebonsari. This study used a field study method with a population of 198 students and a sample of 65 students. Data collection techniques included documentation institutions, questionnaires, and interviews. Data analysis was carried out using IBM SPSS version 27. The results of the study showed that: (1) The tahfidz program had a significant effect on students’ learning behavior with a sig. value of 0.00 <0.05 and tcount (9.989) > ttable (1.669). (2) The congregational prayer program also had a significant effect with a sig. value. 0.00 < 0.05 and tcount (11.518) > ttable (1.669). (3) The religious program as a whole has a significant effect on student learning behavior with a value of Fcount (89.983) > Ftable (3.145) and sig. 0.00 < 0.05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the tahfidz program, congregational prayer program, and religious programs have a positive and significant effect on student learning behavior. Therefore, strengthening religious programs in madrasas can be an effective strategy in improving the quality of student learning.

Abstract

Financial literacy is an important skill needed by individuals to manage their finances wisely. However, the level of financial literacy in Indonesia still needs to be improved even though the financial inclusion rate continues to grow. This study aims to explore the importance of integrating financial literacy into the school curriculum and compare its implementation in various countries. Using a literature study method with a descriptive-critical approach, this study analyzes various academic sources and policies related to financial education. The results show that countries such as Finland, Australia, Belgium, and the United States have successfully implemented financial literacy systematically in their curriculum, with a practice-based and technology-based approach. In Indonesia, the main obstacles to implementing financial literacy in schools include limited resources, lack of teacher training, and social norms that still consider discussions about finance as taboo. Although several initiatives have been carried out, such as adjusting the curriculum with financial material across subjects, their effectiveness is still limited. Therefore, a more contextual learning model is needed and policies that support the implementation of comprehensive financial literacy in schools. Integrating financial literacy into education will help equip the younger generation with better economic skills, ensure their readiness to face the challenges of the digital economy, and contribute to the stability of the national economy in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is an effect of using digital comics on the learning outcomes of aqidah akhlak. This study uses a quantitative approach with a type of quasi experimental design. The population in this study were all students of MI Al-Hikmah Songgon Banyuwangi in the 2022/2023 academic year and the sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling with a total sample size of 36 respondents taken from class IA and IB students of MI Al-Hikmah Songgon Banyuwangi in the 2022/2023 academic year. Data collection techniques using pretest and posttest results. The data analysis technique used is the Independent Sample t test which utilizes SPSS 25 for windows. Based on the results of data analysis that has been processed with the Independent Sample T test, the sig. result is 0.000 < α 0.05 with a tcount of 9.833, and ttable 1.688 (N = 36), because tcount> ttable then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, which means that there is a significant effect on the use of digital comics on the learning outcomes of aqidah akhlak. So it can be concluded that the use of digital comics affects the learning outcomes of aqidah akhlak.
