Seaweed is a biological natural resource that offers numerous benefits. In addition to being consumed directly, seaweed also plays an important role in the fields of health and beauty. The waters of Sumbawa contain an abundant supply of seaweed; however, many species have not yet been properly identified. This study aims to identify and describe the morphological characteristics of seaweed found in the waters of Labuhan Terata, Sumbawa. This research employed an exploratory descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The study was conducted from March 2024 until completion in the waters of Labuhan Terata, Lape District, Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Data were collected through field observations using line transect and plot methods, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that eleven seaweed species were found in the waters of Labuhan Terata Hamlet, namely Gelidium sp., Gelidium pacificum, Gracilaria salicornia, Acanthophora spicifera, Caulerpa letilifera, Caulerpa serrulata, Halimeda tuna, Padina australis, Sargassum cristaefolium, Turbinaria ornata, and Sargassum echinocarpum.
