<![CDATA[This study examines the implementation of santri culture at Pondok Pesantren Modern Asy-Syifa Balikpapan based on the values of Panca Jiwa: sincerity, simplicity, self-reliance, Islamic brotherhood, and freedom. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through non-participant observation, structured interviews, and document analysis involving the pesantren leader, vice leaders, P4 administrators, caregivers, and santri. Data validity was ensured through source, technique, and time triangulation. The findings show that Panca Jiwa values are consistently integrated into four main activities: ubudiyah, ta’lim, muamalah, and yaumiyah. Supporting factors include exemplary leadership, consistent policies, structured guidance, active student organizations, and a conducive environment. Challenges include diverse backgrounds, boredom, homesickness, and external influences. Overall, Panca Jiwa effectively fosters holistic santri character and supports modern Islamic boarding school education.]]>
