Abstract

Islam contains teachings that are in accordance with all times so that the nine pillars of character values offered by the Indonesia Heritage Foundation (IHF) feel significant with the two main sources of the religion, namely the Qur'an and the Hadith. This qualitative research with a literature study will discuss the significance of the nine pillars of character values with Islamic teachings in a multi-religious society. The data analysis technique uses content analysis by sorting things that are in accordance with the focus and objectives of the study. Abu Dawud, and several other hadiths; responsibility, discipline, and independence are significant with the contents of Surah Al-Mudatsir verse 38, Surah Al-Isra verse 36, Surah An-Nahl verse 90, Surah Al-Baqarah verse 286, Surah An-Nisa’ verse 59, Surah Al-Ashr verse 1-3, Surah Ar-Ra’d verse 11, HR.
