<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze academic disengagement, self-determination, and the impact of self-determination on academic disengagement among PTIK Universitas Negeri Makassar mahasiswa in 2023. This study is motivated by the necessity of understanding psychological factors that affect academic mahasiswa's ability to learn in high school. The method used is a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto research design. A sample of 171 mahasiswa was obtained using incidental sampling, a nonprobability sampling technique. Data collection is done using angket, followed by deskriptif analysis and linear regression analysis using SPSS. The study's findings indicate that, overall, mahasiswa's level of self-determination falls into the rendah category. This is in line with the results of each indicator's analysis, which also indicates that a significant portion falls into the rendah category, indicating that the aspects of autonomy, competence, and relatedness in the individual mahasiswa are not at their best. On the other hand, academic disengagement is quite low, with the highest indicator of cognitive disengagement being 53.22%. The results of the uji regresi indicate that self-determination has a significant impact on academic disengagement with a significance level of 0.023 (<0.05) and a negative correlation, meaning that as self-determination increases, academic disengagement decreases. The coefficient of determination (R2) of around 0.030 indicates that self-determination contributes approximately 3% to academic disengagement. This indicates that self-determination has an impact on academic disengagement, but its contribution is rather small. This indicates that academic disengagement is also impacted by various other multifaceted factors. Because of this, it is necessary to pay attention to factors like learning environments, social environments, academic beban, and learning strategies that are implemented by dosen in order to increase the academic achievement of mahasiswa in a way that is more optimal, continuous, and comprehensive in the current educational context.]]>
