This community engagement program was initiated in response to the underutilization of water hyacinth by the Maju Jaya Women Farmers Group (KWT Maju Jaya) in Parit Keladi Village as a raw material for economically valuable products. The main challenges faced by the partner group included limited technical knowledge of humic acid production and insufficient understanding of green branding for the development and commercialization of eco-friendly products. The program aimed to introduce fermentation technology using Effective Microorganisms (EM-4) for the production of liquid humic acid and to develop a green brand identity to support product marketing. The implementation methods comprised awareness sessions on the business potential of eco-friendly products, practical training in humic acid production, and training on the development of a green brand identity, with KWT Maju Jaya actively involved as the community partner. Evaluation results demonstrated a substantial improvement in participants’ understanding of humic acid production, increasing from an average of 1.7% before the intervention to 85.4% after the intervention, with an N-Gain score of 0.85, categorized as high. Similarly, participants’ understanding of green branding increased from an average of 0.8% to 86.7%, with an N-Gain score of 0.87, also categorized as high. Overall, the program strengthened the partner group’s production and marketing capacities, contributed to reducing aquatic environmental pollution through the productive utilization of water hyacinth, and created opportunities for additional income generation beyond conventional rice farming activities.
