Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD) is a fundamental stage in the development of children’s character, morality, intelligence, and personality. From an Islamic perspective, children’s education should not focus solely on cognitive development but should also encompass moral, spiritual, social, and emotional dimensions. The sayings and practices of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) contain various educational principles that are relevant to the development of Islamic. This study aims to analyze methods of early childhood education based on the Prophetic traditions and to reconstruct a hadits-based learning model for PIAUD. This research employs a library research method using a descriptive-analytical approach and a thematic study of Prophetic traditions related to children’s education. The data were analyzed through the stages of identification, classification, interpretation, and contextualization of hadits within the practice of early childhood education. The findings indicate that the Prophet’s educational methods include exemplary conduct (uswah hasanah), habituation (ta‘wid), advice (mau‘izhah), dialogue and question-and-answer methods, motivation and appreciation, play-based learning, care and affection, and gradual education according to children’s developmental stages. Based on these principles, a hadits-based PIAUD learning model can be reconstructed by integrating spiritual, moral, cognitive, social-emotional, linguistic, and motor development through enjoyable learning activities appropriate to children’s characteristics. This model positions teachers as role models and facilitators who create a caring, dialogical, active, and meaningful learning environment. Thus, the Prophetic traditions can serve as both a conceptual and practical foundation for developing a holistic, humanistic, contextual, and character-oriented PIAUD learning model from early childhood.
