<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the role of Quran Memorization Institutions in shaping the religious character, discipline, and responsibility of students, as well as identifying the supporting and inhibiting factors in the character-building process. The background of this study is the declining interest of children in studying the Quran and the importance of non-formal institutions as a means of Islamic character building. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included Quran teachers, students, and parents. The data were analyzed interactively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the Quran Memorization Institute played a significant role in shaping the character of students. Religious character is instilled through the habit of worship and good character; discipline is instilled through time management, rules and regulations, and memorization discipline; and responsibility is instilled through the trust of memorization and taking care of the tahfidz house facilities. Supporting factors come from the involvement of teachers and parents, while obstacles include a lack of supervision at home and weak motivation among some students. Implicitly, this study confirms that the Quran Memorization Center contributes greatly to character education based on Quranic values and can be used as a model for strengthening moral education in other non-formal institutions.]]>
