<![CDATA[Modern education often prioritizes academic achievement as the primary indicator of success, while moral responsibility and ethical dimensions of knowledge are frequently overlooked. This study employs a library research method to explore the symbolic meaning of qalam through a tafsir tarbawi approach, drawing upon the Quran, classical tafsir works, and Islamic educational literature. The analysis reveals that qalam is not merely a writing instrument but a symbol of knowledge, literacy, and intellectual authority, intrinsically connected to morality as exemplified in the character of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). These findings underscore the relevance of Quranic educational values in addressing contemporary challenges, including weak literacy culture, declining academic ethics, and the tendency to separate knowledge acquisition from character formation.]]>
