<![CDATA[Access to legal information and improved community legal knowledge are essential for creating safe, peaceful, and just villages. Village Legal Aid Posts (POSBANKUMDES) have a strategic role in bringing legal information and services closer to rural communities while supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 16 on peace, justice, and strong institutions. This community service program aimed to improve community knowledge regarding Village SDGs and the role of POSBANKUMDES, drug abuse prevention, and crime prevention, particularly theft. The program was conducted in Amboyo Utara Village, Ngabang District, Landak Regency, using a participatory legal education approach consisting of material presentation, interactive discussion, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. Sixteen participants representing strategic village stakeholders participated in the activity, including nine hamlet heads, Family Welfare Empowerment representatives, Village Consultative Body members, village officials, and community leaders. The evaluation results showed that the participants' average knowledge score increased from 85.98% in the pre-test to 94.21% in the post-test, representing an increase of 8.24 percentage points. The highest increase occurred in drug abuse prevention material at 13.28 percentage points, followed by Village SDGs and POSBANKUMDES at 10.00 percentage points, and crime/theft prevention at 1.43 percentage points. The activity indicates that legal education through strengthening the educational function of POSBANKUMDES can contribute to improving community legal knowledge. Program sustainability is supported through the development of presentation materials and educational pamphlets that can be reused in future village-level legal education activities.]]>
