The integration of local wisdom into Social Studies learning can create experiences that are closely connected to students’ social and cultural environments while supporting the Graduate Profile Dimensions. This study examines how local wisdom is integrated into Deep Learning in Social Studies and how it contributes to strengthening those dimensions. A literature review was conducted using relevant scientific journal articles published from 2021 to 2026. The literature was selected by considering title and abstract relevance, full-text availability, publication year, and alignment with the focus of the review. The findings were analyzed by grouping evidence according to forms of local wisdom, patterns of integration in learning, Deep Learning principles, and links to the Graduate Profile Dimensions. Local wisdom was integrated as content, context, a learning resource, teaching material or media, and a learning experience. These forms supported mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning and contributed particularly to citizenship, critical reasoning, collaboration, creativity, communication, and faith and devotion. Teachers implemented the integration through project-based learning, case studies, field observations, discussions, and locally grounded materials and media. Local wisdom therefore provides a contextual foundation for Deep Social Studies learning oriented toward strengthening students’ competencies and character.
