This study aims to determine whether the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on the Qreatif Educative application has a significant effect on the critical thinking skills of students at SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Idanoi. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a Non-equivalent Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population consisted of 250 seventh-grade students, while the sample was selected using purposive sampling, comprising 32 students in class VII-B as the experimental group and 30 students in class VII-F as the control group. Data were collected using a critical thinking skills test administered as a pretest before treatment and a posttest after treatment. The research instrument was developed based on indicators of critical thinking skills. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using an independent-samples t-test. The results showed a significant effect of the PBL model based on the Qreatif Educative application on students’ critical thinking skills. These findings imply that integrating PBL with interactive digital learning applications can provide an effective alternative for improving students’ critical thinking skills in science learning.
