Reading comprehension instruction for Phase C students must aim beyond identifying explicit information to grasping implicit meaning and context. The Telaga Warna drama script contains rich character dialogues reflecting conflicts, emotional responses, and distinct traits, making it ideal for developing these skills. However, studies integrating speech acts and implicatures in this script for Phase C learning remain limited. This descriptive qualitative study analyzes speech acts and implicatures in Telaga Warna and their pedagogical implications. Character dialogues were examined through data condensation, coding, presentation, contextual analysis, and verification. Findings show the script features locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary speech acts, alongside pragmatic implicatures. Locutionary acts dominate, primarily conveying direct information, while perlocutionary acts are least frequent due to requiring deeper contextual interpretation. The implicatures demonstrate that understanding dialogues extends beyond literal meaning, requiring connections between utterances, situations, and interpersonal dynamics. Ultimately, Telaga Warna serves as an effective teaching material for Phase C reading comprehension, helping students extract explicit and implicit details, draw inferences, and interpret context-dependent meaning.
