This study aimed to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on students’ learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning, particularly narrative texts about origins, among fourth-grade elementary school students. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population and sample consisted of all 27 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 064960 Medan Polonia. Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The research instruments consisted of achievement tests and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the Liliefors normality test, correlation coefficient test, and hypothesis testing using a t-test. The results showed that the students’ mean pretest score was 63.37, while the mean posttest score increased to 83.37. The correlation coefficient test yielded rcount = 0.695 ? rvalue = 0.381, indicating a strong relationship between the Discovery Learning model and students’ learning outcomes. The hypothesis test yielded tcount = 4.833 > tvalue = 2.052; therefore, H? was accepted and H? was rejected. Thus, Discovery Learning had a positive and significant effect on fourth-grade students’ Indonesian language learning outcomes.
