Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the discovery learning model on student learning outcomes on the praja Muda Karana theme which was carried out in class III of SD Negeri 105327 Perdamean for the 2020/2021 academic year. There are 60 students in the class, all of them are in the third grade. Saturated sampling was used to collect samples from up to 60 students, who were divided into two groups of 30 and 30 students, respectively. An experimental approach was used in this investigation. The results of statistical analysis showed that the learning outcomes in the experimental class using the Discovery Learning model were in the good category, with an average of 83.2. Meanwhile, without using the control class learning model, learning outcomes were not significantly different from the KKM which was set at an average of 65.3. Because tcount > ttable, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted by t-test, the value of tcount = 5.976 while t-table is 1.697. This shows that the discovery learning model has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of third grade students of SD Negeri 105327 Perdamean for the 2020/2021 academic year. Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Young Praja Karana, Discovery Learning Model

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh model pembelajaran example non example terhadap hasil belajar siswa di kelas III SD Negeri 106144 Sei Mencirim tahun pembelajaran 2020/2021. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan mengunakan metode one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas III SD Negeri 106144 Sei Mencirim yang terdiri dari 1 kelas yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Pengambilan sample dengan mengunakan sampling jenuh dan di peroleh sampel sebanyak 30 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bahwa hasil belajar siswa dengan mengunakan model example non example termasuk kategori baik dengan rata-rata 84,27 . Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengujian korelasi dapat dilihat pada nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,742 artinya rhitung (0,742) ≥ rtabel (0,361) maka Ha diterima. Maka terdapat pengaruh yang kuat antara model pembelajaran example non example terhadap hasil belajar siswa di kelas III SD Negeri 106144 Sei Mencirim. Dapat juga dilihat dari hasil pengujian uji-t dimana thitung ≥ ttabel yaitu 5,858 ≥ 1.701 sehingga menyatakan bahwa Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif yang signifikan dari pengunaan model pembelajaran example non example terhadap hasil belajar siswa di kelas III SD Negeri 106144 Sei Mencirim 106144 tahun pembelajaran 2020/2021

Abstract

This research is based on: (1) students have not been able to apply ideas, opinions in writing specifically in descriptive writing; (2) teachers have not used innovative learning approach, so student learning activities did not increase; (3) the learning outcomes in descriptive writing on 5th grade student Gracia Sustain is low. This research is a quasi-experimental research. The population research are students of class Va and Vb Gracia Sustain Private Elementary School. The sample in this research is class Va as the control class that consist of 28 students which were taught using the an expository approach and for class Vb for the experimental class which were taught using scientific approach. The instruments used were: (1) the learning outcomes test, that was descriptive writing essay test; (2) student learning activity observation sheet. Those instruments had fulfilled the terms of content validity, construct validity and reliability coefficient. The findings of the research showed that: (1) the learning outcomes of students who received the scientific learning approach got mean score = 71.607 while the learning outcomes of student were using expository approach got the mean score = 53,929 (μA1> μA2); (2) based on the results of data calculations can be seen that students who were taught using high learning activity got mean score = 66.724, while the learning outcomes of students were taught using low learning activity got the mean score = 58,519; and (3) the hypothesis result testing showed that there is no interaction between of the use of scientific approach and student activities towards students ability in descriptive writing. Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh: (1) siswa belum mampu menuangkan ide, pendapat dalam bentuk tulisan secara khusus menulis deskripsi; (2) guru belum menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang inovatif, sehingga tidak meningkatkan aktivitas siswa; (3) hasil belajar menulis deskripsi siswa kelas V SDS Gracia Sustain rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas Va dan Vb Sekolah Dasar Swasta Gracia Sustain dan sebagai sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas Va untuk kelas kontrol sebanyak 28 siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan ekspositori dan untuk kelas kontrol kelas Vb sebanyak 28 siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari: (1) tes hasil belajar yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berbentuk essay test menulis deskripsi; (2) lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Instrumen tersebut telah memenuhi syarat validitas isi dan validitas konstruk serta koefisien reliabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan pendekatan saintifik memperoleh nilai rata-rata 71.607 sedangkan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan pendekatan ekspositori memperoleh nilai rata-rata 53.929 ( ; (2) berdasarkan hasil perhitungan data dapat diketahui bahwa siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan aktivitas tinggi memperoleh nilai rata-rata = 66.724, sedangkan hasil belajar kemampuan menulis deskripsi yang menggunakan aktivitas rendah memperoleh nilai rata-rata = 58.519; dan (3) hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh tidak terdapat interaksi antara pendekatan saintifik dan aktivitas siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis deskripsi siswa. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Inkuiri Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Tema Indahnya Keragaman Di Negeriku Kelas IV SDN 060938 Medan Johor Tahun Pembelajaran 2020/2021. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN 060938 Medan Johor berjumlah 30 siswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan boring sampling dan sampel sebanyak 30 siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analitik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Inkuiri termasuk ke kategori baik sekali dengan rata-rata 82.96. Pengujian normalitas diperoleh nilai signifikansi hasil belajar adalah Lhitung >Ltabel  yaitu 0.178>0.05. Berdasarkan perhitungan tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa nilai signifikansi dari hasil belajar berdistribusi normal. Pada pengujian korelas, nilai koefisien sebesar 0.621 artinya rhitung >rtabel yaitu 0.621> 0.361. Hasil pengujian uji-t dimana thitung >ttabel  yaitu 4.195 > 1.697 sehingga Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Inkuiri Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Tema Indahnya Keragaman Di Negeriku Kelas IV SDN 060938 Medan Johor Tahun Pembelajaran 2020/2021.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Example Non Example terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada tema 7 peristiwa dalam kehidupan di kelas V SD Negeri 067246 Medan tuntungan tahun pembelajaran 2020/2021. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling menggunakan dua kelas dan sampel sebanyak 58 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Example Non Example termasuk kategori baik sekali dengan rata-rata  80.27.  Pengujian normalitas diperoleh nilai signifikansi hasil belajar adalah Lhitung ˃ Ltabel  yaitu 0.200 < 0.05. Berdasarkan perhitungan tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa nilai signifikansi dari hasil belajar berdistribusi normal.Pada pengujian homogenitas, nilai koefisien sebesar 0.904 artinya rhitung ˃ rtabel 0.05. Maka terdapat pengaruh varians data hasil tema 7 homogen. Hasil pengujian uji-t dimana  thitung ˃ ttabel yaitu 2.935 ˃ 1.699 sehingga Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari pengaruh model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Example Non Example terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The backgrounds of carrying out this research are: 1) the students find it difficult to comprehend reading materials; 2) the students’ learning results are low or less than Mastery Minimum Criteria; 3) the teaching strategy used by the teacher is inappropriate in teaching reading comprehension to the students. The objective of this research is to prove that the implementation of Directed Reading Thinking Activity (henceforth, DRTA) strategy is effective to enhance reading comprehension of the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 066050 Medan. This is Classroom Action Research (henceforth, CAR). The sample of this CAR are the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 066050 Medan consisting of 25 students. The students’ learning results in the pre-cycle or pre-test is still categorized unsatisfactory (very low). The students’ mean score in the pre-cycle or pre-test is 56.80 (24%). After completing cycle one, the students’ mean score increased into 66.20 (40%). After doing reflection and finishing cycle two, it was found out that the students’ mean score increased into 77.28 (80%). It is concluded that the application of DRTA strategy is able to improve reading comprehension of the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 066050 Medan.

Abstract

This research was intended to see the phenomena of students capability in producing products of their language target which was English. This was purposed to observe and to find their errors in producing writings. The result then could be used as reflection to improve their skill in writing specifically in parts of speech. From the analysis, it was found out that the errors found in the students writing were dominated by noun with the percentage of 22%, followed by pronoun 19%, adjective 17%, verb 14%, conjunction 14%, adverb 8%, preposition 6%, and lastly interjection 0.2 %. The data then analysed by considering the analysis in error analysis and found out that 33% error in misordering, 23% error in omission, 22% error in misformation, and 22% error in addition. This research showed that error which appear the most was dominated by misordering error and noun in the aspect of parts of speech. The possible cause of how the errors could happened was because of the influence of intralingual transfer. Students cannot differentiate between their experience in using grammar of source language and target language. Thus, the product of target language that provided by the students met errors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of using multifunctional board media on student learning outcomes in mathematics learning on KPK and FPB material for grade IV students of SD Negeri 104186 Tanjung Selamat. Through this study, a correlation coefficient of 0.989 was obtained with a significance level of 5% with the number of respondents (N) of 30 students, with an rtable of 0.361. So it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the two variables where rcount> rtable (0.989> 0.361). Based on the calculation results, the significance result is 0.000 <0.05, it can be concluded that the two variables have a relationship. In addition, to find out whether the two variables have a relationship, a comparison can be made between rcount and rtable. If rcount> rtable then the two variables have a relationship. With the number of respondents (N) as many as 30 students, the rtable is 0.361. While the rcount in the table above is 0.990. Because 0.990> 0.361, there is an influence between the multi-fungal board media on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Negegi 104186 Tanjung Selamat Medan. The calculation results of the influence of the two variables are shown with a correlation value of 0.990. Based on the interpretation table of r values, the correlation obtained lies in the range of r values 0.800-1.000, it can be concluded that the level of influence between variable X multi-function board media on variable Y student learning outcomes has a very high influence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of teachers in increasing the motivation of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 060938 Medan Johor. The benefit of this research is to add insight related to the role of teachers in increasing student motivation. Based on research conducted at SD Negeri 060938 Medan Johor, it can be seen that the role of teachers in increasing student learning motivation based on aspects of arousing student interest, creating a pleasant atmosphere in learning, commenting on student work, creating competition and cooperation, and giving punishment is quite good, because teachers have been able to design lessons that can develop learning motivation and make them feel happy and comfortable, homeroom teacher V is also able to give thorough comments to each student's success and is able to create competition and cooperation so as to build cooperation between students in the classroom and give punishment to students in order to motivate students. The role of homeroom teacher V in developing student learning motivation based on aspects of clarifying the goals achieved, providing assessment and giving reasonable praise for each student's success has indeed been carried out but in its implementation, it has not been maximized. Teachers in giving praise have not been thorough, but only given to students who are active during the learning process and teachers also in giving assessments have not been thorough, teachers are more dominant in assessing knowledge to students. This shows that the teacher's role in increasing learning motivation has been carried out but has not been maximized.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning on decimal number material in grade IV SD by applying the pair check type learning model. Based on the data obtained, the increase in pre-test results the average value is 48%, in cycle I there is an average value of 65%, and in cycle II there is an average value of 82%. So it can be concluded that learning by using the Pair Check Type Cooperative Learning model on Decimal Numbers material can improve student learning outcomes. Classically, it can be seen that there is an increase in students' classical learning outcomes. In the pre-test, the learning result was 32%, in cycle I 54%, while in cycle II 75%. This shows that the expected classical learning completeness has been achieved. From the discussion that has been obtained by researchers, there is an increase in good learning outcomes from cycle I and cycle II. This research is said to be successful if the completeness of student learning outcomes classically reaches 75% of students who reach KKM 70 and in cycle II obtained 75% classical learning outcomes. So it can be concluded that through the findings obtained by researchers can provide answers to the previously stated action hypothesis that by applying the Pair Check Type Cooperative model in Mathematics lessons can improve student learning outcomes in the material of Decimal Numbers at St. Thomas 2 Elementary School Medan Learning Year 2022/2023.
