This research stems from the need to strengthen character education for students (santri). This approach emphasizes not only the mastery of religious knowledge but also spiritual, psychological, and social transformation. The study examines the formation process, identifies the values acquired, and analyzes the contribution of tarekat Qadiriyah wa Naqsyabandiyah education to students' personalities. The study used a qualitative case study design and drew on data from observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that religious study sessions (pengajian diniyah), the pledge of allegiance (bai’at), dhikr, wirid, mujahadah (spiritual striving), and guidance from a mursyid (spiritual master) foster divine awareness, self-regulation, emotional stability, discipline, honesty, patience, humility, and social concern. Consistent spiritual practices transform ritualistic acts into ethical behaviors in daily life. The study implies that Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) need to maintain guidance that is purposeful, dialogical, and institutionally sustainable. The teachings of the tarekat (Sufi order) offer a holistic model of guidance that integrates personal piety with students' socio-religious responsibilities in a sustainable way.
