This study aims to determine the level of hand-eye coordination among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Martapura. The study employed a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. The population consisted of 228 students, and the sample comprised 32 seventh-grade students from Class VII D, selected using purposive sampling. Data collection utilized a practical test involving throwing and catching a ball against a wall to measure hand-eye coordination. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with percentages. The results of the study indicate that the hand-eye coordination ability of the entire sample falls into the “very poor” category, with a percentage of 100%. These results indicate that the students’ hand-eye coordination skills remain low. This finding highlights the need for efforts to improve hand-eye coordination through appropriate instruction and practice. Consequently, more varied instructional models and exercises are required to enhance students’ motor skills in hand-eye coordination across various physical education lessons.
