This study examines the performance of certified teachers in improving learning quality at SMA Negeri 1 Mutiara and SMA Negeri 1 Sakti in Kabupaten Pidie. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that certification enhances teacher competence, student engagement, and instructional quality, but its effectiveness depends on school leadership, professional development, and administrative workload. Challenges include excessive paperwork, limited training opportunities, and inadequate technology access. The study recommends reducing administrative burdens, expanding teacher training, and improving school infrastructure to maximize certification benefits. These findings contribute to education policy improvements and emphasize the need for continuous professional development for teachers.
