Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in shaping students’ character at an Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT). Character building is one of the main objectives of education, particularly Islamic education, which emphasizes the internalization of moral and religious values in students’ daily lives. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of PAI learning at SDIT is carried out in an integrated manner through classroom learning activities, religious habituation, teachers’ role modeling, and an Islamic school culture. PAI learning plays a significant role in developing students’ religious character, discipline, responsibility, honesty, and social awareness. Therefore, PAI learning at SDIT is not only oriented toward cognitive aspects but also toward the formation of students’ attitudes and behaviors based on Islamic values
