<![CDATA[The disparity in educational attainment levels in West Kutai Regency (Kubar) presents a complex challenge, particularly regarding high local unemployment rates among the working-age population, compounded by limited access to training, financial constraints, and a lack of field-specific professional certifications. This community service initiative aims to enhance the technical competencies and skills of the local population, improve their economic well-being, and reduce unemployment by developing a certified workforce. The program focuses on training for the operation of wheel excavators and motor graders, encompassing structured phases: formal training, hands-on practice, practical and oral examinations, and professional certification. The training was conducted in the Barong Tongkok District, West Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan Province. The outcomes of this initiative are significant; participants transitioned from having little to no prior knowledge of wheel excavators and motor graders to gaining a comprehensive understanding of operational safety, equipment handling, and proper maintenance (preventive maintenance). Furthermore, the participants’ perspectives have been positively influenced, and they have successfully obtained professional certification from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), which is valid for a period of five (5) years.]]>
