Background: Anemia remains a significant health problem among adolescent girls. Nutrition education using flipchart media has the potential to improve knowledge and the intake of nutrients that play an important role in anemia prevention. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the effect of nutrition education using flipchart media on knowledge, protein intake, iron intake, and vitamin C intake among adolescent girls. Methods: A pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest–posttest design was conducted \among 40 female students of SMA Negeri 19 Palembang selected using proportional stratified random sampling. Knowledge and nutrient intake were assessed before and after a two-week intervention. Data were bivariately analyzed using the Paired Sample t-test. Results: The mean knowledge score increased from 61.36 ± 18.87 to 87.70 ± 8.47 (p=0.001). Mean iron intake increased from 10.25 ± 4.65 mg to 13.14 ± 3.32 mg (p=0.001). Mean protein intake increased from 63.32 ± 16.87 g to 81.44 ± 14.66 g (p=0.001), while mean vitamin C intake increased from 31.52 ± 15.51 mg to 57.58 ± 16.81 mg (p=0.001). Conclusion: Flipchart-based nutrition education was effective in improving knowledge as well as protein, iron, and vitamin C intake among adolescent girls as an effort to prevent anemia.
