This study aimed to examine the effect of the Whole Language method assisted by E-Book media on fifth-grade students' learning outcomes in Indonesian language, particularly in descriptive text material. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group design. The research involved 53 fifth-grade students at UPT SDN 066435 Medan, consisting of 26 students in the experimental class (V-B) and 27 students in the control class (V-C). The sample was selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The students' learning outcomes were measured using pre-test and post-test assessments. The results showed that the experimental class achieved a higher post-test mean score (70.57) than the control class (64.62). The independent-samples t-test revealed a statistically significant difference between the two groups (p = 0.029 < 0.05). These findings indicate that the implementation of the Whole Language method assisted by E-Book media had a significant effect on students' learning outcomes in Indonesian language, particularly in descriptive text material.
