<![CDATA[Employee performance at PT Original Bird Nest MMTC Medan has not consistently met production targets; in 2025, actual production reached only 93.69% of the target. This study aims to analyze the effect of emotional intelligence and work stress on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. The study employs a quantitative approach with a causal associative design. The population consists of 56 employees, all of whom were included as the sample through saturated sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, an F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results show that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (t = 11.755; Sig. = 0.000). Work stress also has a positive and significant effect (t = 2.913; Sig. = 0.005), although its contribution is considerably smaller. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect (F = 227.039; Sig. = 0.000) with an R Square of 0.895, meaning that 89.5% of the variation in employee performance is explained by the model and 10.5% by other factors. Emotional intelligence is the more dominant variable (Beta = 0.790 versus 0.196). Efforts to improve employee performance should focus on strengthening emotional intelligence and keeping work stress at a manageable level.]]>
