Abstract

KineMaster is a video editing application that supports the content creator industry; however, compared to its competitors, that app falls short in release year, download numbers, and ratings. This research aims to determine the service quality of the Android-based KineMaster application based on sentiment analysis and the classification of mobile app service quality (MASQ) dimensions. The data used is secondary data from 5,000 reviews of Google Play Store using Google Colab and processed using RapidMiner Studi version 10.2. Naïve Bayes and k-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithms are applied to determine the best one. Negative sentiment data resulting from the worst MASQ dimension classification will be carried out by WordCloud using Google Colab to determine complaint priorities. The research results show that positive sentiment dominates at 62.24% using the KNN algorithm as the best algorithm in this research. Nevertheless, the 37.76% negative sentiment is not ignored. Based on the number of negative sentiments in each dimension, technical reliability is the worst dimension, valence is the second worst dimension, and performance is the third worst. Prioritized complaints are update reliability, watermarks, app, feature downloads, inability to open apps, export capabilities, high price, and processing speed.

Abstract

This research investigates wheter integrating the demonstration method with a TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) approach in classroom learning can improve students ability to write procedure texts. A quasi experimental pre-test post-test control group design was employed to examine this effect. The target population for this study included all fourth grade students at SDN Kedaung Wetan 2. A sample of 40 students was selected, with 20 students from class 4A assigned to the control gorup and 20 students from class 4B assigned to the experimental group. The instrument used in this study was a written test. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS 27 program. Both the Paired Sample T-Test (Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001) and the Independent Samples T-Test (Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.075) yielded statistically significant results (p = 0.05), indicating that the null hypothesis (Ho) can be rejected in favor of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). This suggest a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students receiving traditional instruction. Furthermore, the N-Gain Score analysis revealed an average improvement of 56% in the learning outcomes. This finding supports the notion that the TPACK integrated method has a positive inflluence on students ability to write procedure texts.

Abstract

Amidst the existential crisis in contemporary society, young individuals worldwide find themselves susceptible to self-inflicted harm or even self-destruction in response to their psychological ruptures and injuries, while lacking the requisite self-awareness and the patience to persevere on the journey of self-understanding. In this article, we draw upon Rosenblatt’s (1995) notion of Literature as Exploration to propound a text-to-self pedagogical approach to reading Haruki Murakami and Can Xue and to teaching contemporary existentialist literature. Comprising three strategies, namely The Art World in My Eyes, The Mind Film, and The Literary Conversation, this approach encourages students to engage deeply with the portrayal of death in the writers’ flagship novels that view death as an unwavering companion to young individuals’ life journey and growth. Based on Rosenblatt (1995), the three strategies, and our survey-based analysis of 2,000 Vietnamese high school students’ existential perceptions, we propose a model for literature instruction through promoting students’ transition from literary interpretations to self-discovery and self-realization of death associated with the existential crisis. This four-stage model, we expect, will get students poised to reconcile with their lost, solitary, and vulnerable ego, actively befriend their ‘inner child’, and develop into individuals with healed hearts and positive worldviews.

Abstract

Student engagement encourages the advancement of writing skills, such as the ability to compose descriptive language. The evaluated students' writing abilities are determined by their behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement. However, the purpose of this study is to investigate and learn about the utilization of collaborative writing styles when completing descriptive writing. This study used the descriptive qualitative method and engaged six students in writing descriptive text in the group. The data was gathered through semi-structured interviews. To fill a gap in the research on student engagement in collaborative writing approaches. The findings show how collaborative writing approaches improve student involvement and help students overcome problems when producing descriptive writing. Furthermore, collaborative writing enhanced students' enthusiasm for creating descriptive texts as well as their ability to communicate with other students. As a result, students regard the complicated process of collaborative writing as challenging. Students' behavioral, affective, emotional, and cognitive skills are all enhanced as a result of collaborative writing. The other researcher discovered low affective engagement as a result of students' uncertainty regarding collaborative writing during the writing process of descriptive texts.

Abstract

Language is used as a medium of communication in society. In communicating there are four language skills in the form of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Language skills are grouped into two, namely assertive skills (listening and reading) and productive skills (speaking and writing). As a productive skill, writing combines the three language skills outlined in the form of writing. Writing skills need to be developed early. Adolescence (14 – 15 years old) is the right time to develop language skills. Writing skills can be developed by starting your own writing experience. Writing experience is included in writing recount text. Ideas are fundamental in writing. The organization of the content of ideas is important because there are ideas that must be developed in it. To develop the organization of the content of students' ideas at junior high school grade eighth SMP Negeri 4 Abiansemal, a whole language approach was applied. The whole language approach includes teaching the four language skills as a whole. Student learning experiences are obtained simultaneously so that they are able to develop themselves from what they like from the language skills taught. The integration of the whole language approach and the ability to teach teachers can increase student scores. Increased grade point average of the class obtained by 4.15 points from 15.71 to 19.86. Keywords: Organization of content ideas, text recount, whole language approach

Abstract

Numerous alternative methods for text classification have been created because of the increase in the amount of online text information available. The cosine similarity classifier is the most extensively utilized simple and efficient approach. It improves text classification performance. It is combined with estimated values provided by conventional classifiers such as Multinomial Naive Bayesian (MNB). Consequently, combining the similarity between a test document and a category with the estimated value for the category enhances the performance of the classifier. This approach provides a text document categorization method that is both efficient and effective. In addition, methods for determining the proper relationship between a set of words in a document and its document categorization is also obtained.
