Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah masih lemahnya keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa dalam bahasa Sunda. Untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara dalam bahasa Sunda dapat dipelajari secara khusus dalam perkuliahan Monolog. Salah satu teknik dalam pembelajaran berbicara yang digunakan dalam perkuliahan Monolog adalah teknik berpidato. Sekaitan dengan latar belakang tersebut tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan mahasiswa dalam berbicara setelah menggunakan teknik berpidato. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode penelitiannya menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik. Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan teknik tes. Data yang diolah adalah skor tes kemampuan berbicara responden sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan teknik berpidato. Aspek-aspek kemampuan berbicara yang dinilai  meliputi 1) struktur isi pembicaraan, 2) ekspresi, 3) bahasa yang digunakan, dan 4) kesesuaian antara topik dengan isi pembicaraan. Adapun yang menjadi respondennya adalah mahasiswa Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Sunda FPBS UPI Semester IV Angkatan 2018 yang sedang mengikuti perkuliahan Monolog.    Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berbicara mahasiswa sebelum menggunakan teknik berpidato (pre-test) masih rendah rata-rata 3.03 dan sesudah menggunakan teknik berpidato (post-test) meningkat rata-rata 3,45. Diperoleh peningkatan kemampuan berbicara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan teknik berpidato sebesar 0,42.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe the values of character education found in Hajat Sasih ceremony in  Kampung Naga, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive analytical approach. The data collected through observation, interviews, and literature study on the procession from its preparation (tatahar), implementation to closure. The results of the study show that the advancement of the world and the growth of increasingly modern technology have not had much influence on the lives of people in Kampung Naga. At Hajat Sasih ceremony the attributes of character education are found including being religious as shown on the purpose of the ceremony itself as an expression of gratitude to the God and ask for the protection, being discipline which shown on their obedience in performing the ceremony six times a year and follow the rules in its implementation, having patriotism, having reverence, building and maintaining friendship, sustaining the environment, developing social care, and showing responsibility. These characters can also be found among the people of Kampung Naga in their daily lives. As part of an attempt to retain culture and grow characters, parents reiterate the narratives to the younger communities.

Abstract

The observation results reveal that the teacher did not integrate technology into all learning processes, resulting in poor writing skills among students. The researcher aimed to evaluate the efficacy of the TPACK-based demonstration approach in enhancing procedural text writing proficiency. A quasi experimental pre-test post-test control group design was employed to examine this effect. The target population for this study included all fourth grade students at SDN Kedaung Wetan 2. A sample of 40 students was selected, with 20 students from class 4A assigned to the control gorup and 20 students from class 4B assigned to the experimental group. The instrument used in this study was a written test. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS 27 program. Both the Paired Sample T-Test (Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001) and the Independent Samples T-Test (Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.075) yielded statistically significant results (p = 0.05), indicating that the null hypothesis (Ho) can be rejected in favor of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). This suggests a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students receiving traditional instruction. Furthermore, the N-Gain Score analysis revealed an average improvement of 56% in the learning outcomes. This finding supports the notion that the TPACK integrated method has a positive influence on students ability to write procedure texts.

Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying has a negative impact, especially on the mental health of victims, which is an act of violence against children, which must be prevented. Prevention efforts can be made by providing anti-bullying education, which in its implementation can be carried out in classroom learning activities. The research conducted focused on the aim of describing the use of digital media in the form of interactive PowerPoint as an anti-bullying education medium in the school environment. The approach in this study was qualitative with the research subjects being grade IV students. The research instruments used in the study were interview guidelines, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. After conducting several stages of research, the results obtained were that digital media in the form of interactive PowerPoint was proven to be used well as an anti-bullying education medium, this statement was supported by data showing that most students were able to understand the learning material well, and students were satisfied with digital media in the form of interactive PowerPoint.

Abstract

By recognizing the poor ability of the student to write on the text material of the procedure, the researchers aimed to carry out this research to find out the effectiveness of the image drawing media that is expected to improve the value of the skills of writing the text procedure in students of 4th grade SD based on structural aspects, content, the principle of writing, and skill characteristics. The use of the image drawing learning media is very easy to do because the students are not strangers because the media hamper similar to its use to the games that are often found in front of the school. The media is also easy for teachers to make because they don't use a lot of tools and materials. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with one group pre-test post-test method. The population in this study is Class IV SDN Pondok Jagung Timur with a sample of the research class IV B that was taken by random sampling. Data collection techniques are done with pre-test and post-test techniques. Students work on 10 issues of knowledge covering 4 aspects of procedural texts and skills. The results of the study showed that students' skills using drawing media improved based on pre-test and post-test averages. Not only that, based on the test hypothesis paired sample t test also showed a difference between pre-test and post-test. However, on the N Gain Score test the results showed that the influence or improvement occurred was not significant.

Abstract

Perkembangan media sosial yang masif dapat dimanfaatkan secara positif dalam pembiasaan anak usia pra sekolah termasuk dalam mengenalkan literasi finansial. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah mengedukasi guru dan anak usia prasekolah sekaligus mengkampanyekan konsep literasi finansial “Si Kemal – literaSI KEuangan optiMAL” melalui launching akun Instagram (@penelitian.sikemal) dan Youtube (Petualangan Si Kemal) sehingga dapat memenuhi ketersediaan media edukasi literasi finansial bagi anak usia pra sekolah. Sasaran kegiatan adalah anak usia prasekolah dengan rentang usia 4 – 6 tahun dan pendidik (guru TK) di Kota Serang dan Kota Cilegon. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan dengan edukasi langsung mengundang siswa dan guru pada tempat yang sama dengan menonton video yang diunggah pada YouTube dan Instagram. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi pengamatan langsung di kelas serta pembagian angket yang disebarkan kepada peserta melalui google-form setelah kegiatan berlangsung selama satu minggu. Teknik analisis data yang dipakai adalah analisis deskriptif dari hasil pengamatan dan angket Hasilnya, peserta memberikan respons positif dengan hadirnya sosial media Instagram dan Youtube “Si Kemal”. Dari 16 pernyataan yang disampaikan, 90 persen lebih responden memberikan penilaian baik terhadap Instagram dan Youtube “Si Kemal” dilihat dari aspek motivasi, kemenarikan, kemudahan, dan kemanfaatan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa video Si Kemal dapat meningkatkan tingkat literasi finansial siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas fenomena campur kode dalam tuturan anak usia sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fenomena campur kode dalam tuturan anak usia sekolah dasar di SDN Daan Mogot 3 dari perspektif sosiolinguistik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi dengan metode simak yang dilanjutkan dengan teknik simak libat cakap, teknik rekam, dan teknik catat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa bentuk campur kode yang paling dominan adalah penyisipan kata, dengan campur kode ke luar sebagai jenis yang paling sering digunakan, terutama melibatkan bahasa Inggris. Motif utama penggunaan campur kode adalah kemauan penutur untuk mengekspresikan diri, mengikuti tren, atau menciptakan keakraban dalam interaksi sosial. Faktor lain, seperti pengaruh lingkungan heterogen dan eksposur media, turut berkontribusi dalam fenomena ini. Penelitian ini menegaskan peran penting lingkungan sosial dalam membentuk pola komunikasi anak-anak, menjadikan campur kode sebagai strategi linguistik yang fleksibel dan adaptif untuk membangun identitas serta hubungan interpersonal.

Abstract

The degradation of moral values amid technological advancement during the 5.0 Industrial Revolution era and the complexities of the 21st century stand as a significant concern in contemporary education. Focused on UNESCO's four pillars and the cultural heritage embedded within the Amanat Galunggung manuscript, this study aims to unveil the contents of the Amanat Galunggung manuscript and explore their interrelation in shaping holistic individuals within modern education. Undertaking a crucial task, this research seeks to comprehend how these foundational aspects collectively combat the moral dilemmas arising from technological advancements in today's educational landscape. To interpret the contents of the Galunggung Amanat text, the hermeneutical method is used. Data was collected through documentation instruments and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The The results of the research show that the Amanat Galunggung text contains knowledge about self-introspection and how to behave, as well as recommendations for carrying out good actions and prohibitions against behaving not in accordance with the rules, especially in living together. This instills educational values which aim to develop individuals who are educated, skilled and have character. These values are in line with UNESCO's four pillars of education: learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together, and learning to be. The compatibility between the values in the Galunggung Mandate and the four pillars of UNESCO shows its potential as a solution for strengthening character amidst moral degradation in contemporary education.

Abstract

Creative Thinking Skills (CTS) are essential abilities that students must possess. CTS can be stimulated by teachers through the learning and assessment processes. The scarcity of specific CTS instruments, particularly in the subject of science and social studies, presents a gap that this research aims to address. The objectives of this study are to 1) develop a test instrument for measuring CTS in Science and Social Studies to enhance students' 21st-century competencies, 2) evaluate the quality of the developed CTS instrument, and 3) examine the CTS profile of fifth-grade elementary school students in Serang City. This research employs a development methodology based on Mardapi's instrument development model, which consists of nine steps, starting from constructing test specifications to interpreting test results. The developed instrument takes the form of an essay-based CTS test for fifth grade, consisting of 10 items. The CTS indicators include fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Content validity was established through expert judgment, with agreement levels assessed using Aiken's V index. Construct validity was tested using Confirmatory Factor Analysis, and reliability was measured with Cronbach's Alpha. Data analysis utilized the R program to assess the characteristics of the developed CTS instrument.
