Abstract

Abstract—Currently, an academic system with structured data is needed for all lecture institutions, especially universities in Indonesia, Siliwangi University, with its academic system, namely the Campus Academic Information System (SIMAK). Over time, complaints from the visual aspect and user experience that did not keep up with the times became a new problem for SIMAK with student access rights. Therefore, the UI/UX aspect in developing an application is vital in accessing the available features. In this study, the method applied is Design Thinking to develop SIMAK WEB and SIMAK MOBILE application designs according to the data and input obtained from users. The research stages include Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. The final result is user testing from expert users with ten examiners, each producing a success rate percentage of 100% for SIMAK WEB and a percentage of 90% for SIMAK MOBILE. In addition, the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) assessment from the same expert user plus end-users of 39 respondents and 33 respondents for web and mobile respectively increased 6 UEQ scales, namely Attractiveness, Clarity, Efficiency, Accuracy, Stimulation and lastly especially Novelty which has an increase of 5.286 and 5.264 from the initial value of -0.880. The Novelty scale is the only scale with a negative impression initially and was successfully evaluated in this study with a good score. The implication for further research is that an in-depth study and application of unique methods regarding the conversion of designs into prototype form is necessary so that coding can run smoothly. Keywords— Design Thinking, Campus Academic System, User Experience, User Experience Questionnaire, User Interface

Abstract

This study analyses a blended e-learning system's information resources. Their quality is assessed based on learners' perceptions using a modified version of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). To enable flexible learning and enhance understanding during the COVID-19 epidemic, most Iraqi universities have lately embraced Google Classroom and Moodle in addition to face-to-face (F2F) courses. Based on TAM, individual differences and perspectives were investigated concerning correlations between student satisfaction and technology adoption. There were 270 undergraduate students in the research sample who were enrolled in academic courses at Middle Technical University's (MTU) /Technical College of Management (TCM). A survey was used for data collection. The research was done after developing the model's essential and external variables and selecting their components. Partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) examined path-connected dependent and independent components. The study's results showed how "E-Learning Information Quality" (EIQ) positively impacted students' adoption of e-learning. That is demonstrated by the internal variables' positive correlation, which includes perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU), which can be seen in H1 and H2 by the values of (β = 0.204, β = 0.715), and which both positively influence attitudes toward use (ATU), which can be seen in H5 were value (β = 0.643), and behavioral intention (BIU), which can be seen in H4 was value (β = 0.300). Therefore, e-Learning information sources must have value and meaning for students. However, more research is required to evaluate the system's quality. Furthermore, the acceptability of e-learning may change as pedagogies change

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the follow-up actions on the Request for Explanation of Data and/or Information (SP2DK) and its role in improving tax compliance in construction companies in Medan. The research background stems from findings by the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) regarding discrepancies in the tax reporting data of companies, specifically for the 2022 Tax Year, where a company reported a business turnover of IDR 654,346,589 but did not make the final income tax payment (PPh Final), and the VAT return (SPT Masa PPN) was filed with free text entries. This situation led to the issuance of SP2DK as a clarification and preliminary guidance tool by the tax authorities. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and tax document reviews. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The study’s findings indicate that the company’s response to the SP2DK was through written explanations, face-to-face clarification with the Account Representative, corrections to SPT filings, and settlement of PPh Final payments. Factors influencing the follow-up actions include limited tax knowledge, perceptions of the risk of tax audits and penalties, the role of guidance from DJP, and the company's internal administrative readiness. The company also faced obstacles such as weak documentation, limited human resources with tax knowledge, and unintegrated financial record systems. This study concludes that SP2DK follow-up actions have positively impacted both formal and material tax compliance, as reflected in timely SPT submissions, alignment between taxes owed and actual transactions, and a shift towards more sustainable compliance behavior. Moreover, the study highlights that DJP’s role through persuasive communication and technical assistance is crucial in ensuring the success of SP2DK as a tax compliance improvement tool. This research is expected to be a reference for taxpayers, tax authorities, and future researchers in understanding the effectiveness of SP2DK as an instrument for improving tax compliance.

Abstract

The implementation of the Generic Open Source Hospital Management Information System (SIMGOSV2) is essential to support effective and efficient healthcare services. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, user resistance, and staff competencies remain significant barriers. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the successful implementation of SIMGOSV2 at Ryacudu District Hospital, Kotabumi, Lampung. A quantitative survey approach was employed, involving 124 purposively selected respondents from a population of 180 employees. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine the effects of human resource competence, managerial commitment, external factors, and technology on the successful implementation of SIMGOSV2. Findings indicate that human resource competence and managerial commitment significantly affect SIMGOSV2 implementation, while external and technological factors show weaker effects. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.681 suggests that 68.1% of the variation in successful implementation is explained by the studied variables. The success of SIMGOSV2 implementation is strongly influenced by human and managerial aspects. Hospitals should strengthen training, motivation, and managerial support while evaluating system features to better enhance work productivity. This study confirms that technological factors are the strongest determinant of SIMGOSV2 implementation success in regional hospitals.
