Abstract

The integration of Big Data Analysis into Management Information Systems (MIS) has become increasingly important in supporting financial decision-making in today’s data-driven business environment. As the volume and variety of financial data continue to grow, MIS is no longer limited to traditional reporting functions but must evolve into analytical systems that provide timely and accurate information for managerial decisions. This study explores how Big Data Analytics is integrated into MIS and examines its role in improving the quality and accuracy of financial decision-making through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA guidelines. Peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2020 and 2025 were reviewed to identify research trends, main findings, and research gaps. The findings show that Big Data Analytics enhances MIS by improving information quality, speeding up data processing, and enabling the integration of data from multiple sources, which supports more effective financial decisions. However, most existing studies still focus mainly on the technical implementation of Big Data, while the managerial integration of Big Data within the MIS framework remains limited. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of an integrated approach that views Big Data as a strategic element of MIS, providing a conceptual basis for developing more effective Big Data–driven financial decision-making systems and offering directions for future research related to data governance and system design. Abstract

The rapid development of digital audio platforms has challenged conventional radio broadcasting. Previous studies have largely examined radio and podcasts separately. This study addresses this gap by examining how Motion Radio utilizes podcasts as a strategy for disseminating information in the digital era. This research adopts a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants, direct observation, and documentation of podcast content and production practices at Motion Radio. The unit of analysis includes content curation, production processes, and distribution strategies of radio-based podcasts. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Motion Radio strategically curates selected on-air broadcast content, particularly informative and educational programs, into podcast formats to overcome the temporal limitations of radio broadcasting. Podcast production is integrated with live radio programming, enabling efficient content repurposing, although it remains constrained by limited human resources. Podcasts are positioned not merely as broadcast archives but as digital information channels aimed at expanding audience reach beyond conventional radio listeners. In conclusion, the integration of radio broadcasting and podcasting demonstrates a functional transformation of radio within the digital audio ecosystem. This study contributes theoretically by strengthening discussions on media convergence and platformization in audio communication, and practically by providing insights for the radio industry in formulating sustainable digital strategies. Future research is recommended to conduct comparative studies across radio stations, quantitative analyses of podcast content, and audience behavior research in digital audio consumption.

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technologies has significantly transformed higher education. Teaching and learning processes are increasingly supported by digital platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and abundant online learning resources. In this context, university students are required to possess adequate digital literacy, particularly in software- and spatial-analysis-based courses such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), which is a key course in the Environmental Engineering curriculum. This study aimed to analyze the effect of digital literacy on students’ learning outcomes in a GIS course offered in the Environmental Engineering Study Program at Universitas Hamzanwadi. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed. The population consisted of students enrolled in the GIS course in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, and all 44 students were taken as the sample using a saturated sampling technique. Digital literacy was measured using a Likert-scale questionnaire (1–5) covering technical skills, information search and evaluation, information management, online communication and collaboration, and ethical use of digital media, while learning outcomes were obtained from the final course grades. The data analysis showed that the mean score of students’ digital literacy was 3.6 (moderately high), with a standard deviation of 0.45, whereas the mean GIS course grade was 78.5 with a standard deviation of 6.8. Pearson correlation analysis indicated a positive and significant relationship between digital literacy and learning outcomes (r = 0.62; p < 0.01). Simple linear regression further revealed that digital literacy accounted for approximately 38% of the variance in learning outcomes (R² = 0.38), with the regression equation Ŷ = 52.3 + 7.3X. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening students’ digital literacy in GIS instruction through training, project-based assignments, and the optimal utilization of Learning Management Systems.

Abstract

The development of the digital economy has encouraged an increasing number of Generation Z students to pursue higher education while simultaneously engaging in side hustles. This condition requires students to manage role balance and maintain motivation to ensure that both academic and work-related activities lead to satisfactory outcomes. Role imbalance and low motivation may reduce students’ satisfaction and overall well-being, making this issue important to examine. This study aims to analyze the effect of Work-Life Balance and Motivation on Activity Satisfaction among Generation Z students engaged in side hustles at Universitas Wanita Internasional. A quantitative approach with an associative research design was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 126 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression supported by t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results indicate that Work-Life Balance and Motivation have a positive and significant effect on Activity Satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. Motivation was found to have a more dominant influence compared to Work-Life Balance. These findings support the Self-Determination Theory and provide practical implications for managing student activities. Future research is recommended to incorporate additional psychological and contextual variables.

Abstract

The identification of error types based on Newman’s Procedure includes reading, comprehension, transformation, process skills, and answer encoding. The objective of this study is to describe the analysis of students’ errors in solving mathematical logic problems based on Newman’s Procedure. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach involving first year students enrolled in the mathematical logic course within the Information Systems program. Data were collected through a diagnostic test administered to three students representing different levels of academic ability: one low ability student, one moderate ability student, and one high ability student. Students’ ability levels were measured based on tests covering compound propositional logic and logical operations. Data analysis was conducted by classifying errors at each stage of Newman’s Procedure, tracing the underlying factors contributing to these errors, and relating them to students’ logical reasoning abilities. Accordingly, the research method employed in this study is descriptive qualitative research. The resulting error classifications were subsequently used by lecturers as a basis for recommending improvements in instructional strategies. The results indicate that students with low ability made errors across all stages from K1 to K5, students with moderate ability tended to make errors at the case exploration and process skills stages, while students with high ability were able to complete all stages systematically and consistently. These findings confirm that the Newman Procedure is effective in mapping students’ thinking errors. Therefore, the implementation of differentiated learning strategies that emphasize problem comprehension, case exploration, and logical verification is recommended to enhance students’ reasoning abilities

Abstract

This paper aims to synthesize the fragmented body of literature on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) transforms the traditional Strategic Alignment Model (SAM). Specifically, the study examines the role of Digital Orchestration as a mediating mechanism between AI capabilities and organizational performance. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach guided by PRISMA protocols, this research analyzes 84 peer-reviewed articles published between 2018 and 2026 and indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. The study identifies three main thematic pillars: Cognitive Alignment, Algorithmic Governance, and Human–AI Collaborative Synergy. Overall, these themes indicate that AI is no longer merely an operational support tool but has evolved into an agentic strategic capability that enables continuous sensing, predictive decision-making, and real-time synchronization between business and IT domains. The findings demonstrate a paradigm shift from “Static Fit” toward “Fluid Orchestration.” Theoretically, this study extends the Resource-Based View by positioning agentic AI capability as a higher-order dynamic capability and proposes an AI-Enabled Digital Orchestration Framework to integrate previously fragmented insights. Managerially, the research emphasizes the importance of Dynamic KPIs and Agentic Governance to prevent algorithmic misalignment. Overall, the study advances strategic alignment theory by framing AI-driven strategy as a continuously adaptive orchestration capability in volatile digital ecosystems.

Abstract

The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into organizational strategy has intensified the need for robust data governance mechanisms that ensure data quality, accountability, and strategic alignment. While prior studies have examined data governance and AI strategy separately, a comprehensive synthesis explaining how Information Systems (IS) frameworks bridge technical data management and competitive advantage remains limited. This study addresses this gap by conducting a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to synthesize key IS frameworks that govern data for AI-driven strategic outcomes. Following the PRISMA 2020 protocol, relevant peer-reviewed articles published between 2018 and 2026 were systematically collected from Scopus, Web of Science, and the AIS eLibrary. A total of 65 high-quality studies were selected for thematic and theoretical analysis. The findings reveal three dominant thematic clusters: algorithmic accountability and ethics, data pedigree and provenance, and the evolving strategic role of the Chief Data Officer (CDO). The synthesis further demonstrates a theoretical shift from static, compliance-oriented governance toward dynamic capabilities grounded in the Resource-Based View. This study contributes to IS and AI strategy literature by re-conceptualizing data governance as a second-order organizational capability that enables sustainable competitive advantage. Practical implications highlight the importance of governance agility, strategic alignment, and trust-building mechanisms in scaling AI initiatives.
