Abstract

Information technology education increasingly requires students to demonstrate how they reason while generative tools can produce plausible code, queries, and explanations with little visible evidence of the learner's own computational thinking. This study aimed to design ThinkDeeper Web Coach, a process-visible learning artifact for problem-solving-intensive IT courses that requires structured reasoning before direct solution support is accessed. A literature-informed design and development approach was applied to academic records indexed in Semantic Scholar and OpenAlex. The evidence corpus comprised 500 records published from 2023 to 2025, 130 records retained after abstract screening, 53 full texts assessed, and 51 studies included after full-text screening and extraction. The synthesis produced the Process-Visible Learning Design Framework, eight evidence-linked design requirements, and six integrated modules: Answer Delay Gate, Coach Chat, Evidence Drawer, Depth Analytics, Learning Circle, and Resource Recommendation. The revised specification defines applicable course contexts, operational dimensions of depth of thinking, a hybrid reference architecture, server-side gate and guardrail mechanics, trace data objects, and a staged evaluation protocol. ThinkDeeper is presented as a theoretically and empirically justified design specification that still requires expert review, usability testing, trace validation, and classroom pilot evaluation before effectiveness claims can be made.

Abstract

Certainty of climate information is essential for farmers in developing farming decisions but, climate forecasts produced by Climatology Station contain 30 per cent uncertainty. The fact that climatology station has carried out climate information dissemination to farmers in Lombok. However, many farmers experienced harvesting and planting failure due to climatic uncertainty. The objectives of this research are to describe the communication strategy implemented by the Kediri Climatology Station in communicating climate information to farmers on Lombok Island and to identify obstacles experienced in disseminating climate information. This research was conducted at the Kediri Climatology Station and on the island of Lombok using a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis. The results show that the strategies implemented by the Kediri Climatology Station were strategies to increase the station's credibility through the improvement of data collection technique and analysis to minimize uncertainty, compiling and packaging messages so that farmers easily understand them, conducting direct dissemination through climate field school (SLI) and indirect using media, trying to understand the social and economic conditions of the communicants as well as utilization of feedback. However, there are obstacles faced by the Kediri Climatology Station in providing climate information namely: many extension agents are reluctant to convey climate information to farmers, climate change that affects forecast accuracy, difficulty convincing the public, and lack of funds to conduct Climate Field School, limited personnel, and language barriers.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has accelerated digital transformation across business functions, including accounting. This study aims to examine the role of Digital Accounting Information Systems (DAIS) in providing high-quality information and supporting business decision-making processes. The research employed a qualitative non-empirical approach using a literature review method. Secondary data were collected from scholarly journals, books, and academic publications related to digital accounting systems, information quality, and managerial decision-making. Data were analyzed through qualitative content analysis and thematic synthesis to identify recurring patterns and conceptual relationships within the literature. The findings indicate that DAIS enhances information quality by improving accuracy, timeliness, relevance, integration, and accessibility of financial information. These capabilities support operational, tactical, and strategic decision-making while contributing to organizational efficiency, performance evaluation, internal control, and strategic flexibility. The review also reveals several implementation challenges, including investment costs, technological readiness, human resource competencies, and cybersecurity concerns. The study concludes that DAIS functions not only as a financial reporting tool but also as a strategic organizational resource that strengthens decision quality and supports sustainable business performance in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the influence of digital literacy on the utilization of Management Information Systems (MIS) among creative economy business actors in Indonesia. A quantitative associative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected from 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Instruments were developed using a five-point Likert scale and tested for validity and reliability prior to use. Data analysis encompassed classical assumption tests including normality, linearity, and heteroscedasticity followed by simple linear regression analysis processed through SPSS version 25. The findings confirm that digital literacy exerts a positive and significant effect on MIS utilization, yielding a regression coefficient of 0.638, a t-count of 8.986 (p = 0.000), and a determination coefficient of 45.2%. These results indicate that enhanced digital competency among business actors directly corresponds to more optimal and strategic MIS adoption in their business operations. The study underscores the urgent need for structured, contextually relevant digital literacy programs that integrate applied MIS training, targeting creative economy practitioners, industry associations, and policymakers as primary stakeholders. This research addresses a documented gap in the literature by providing the first hypothesis-driven empirical evidence of the digital literacy–MIS relationship specifically within Indonesia's creative economy sector, a population previously underrepresented in information systems and management research. The cross-sectional design and purposive sample constrain generalizability; future research should employ longitudinal approaches and broader sampling across diverse regions and creative economy sub-sectors.
