Abstract

The very close involvement of technology in the banking industry makes almost all banking activities and products currently dependent on information technology (IT). PT BPRS Bhakti Sumekar (PT BBS Bank) is one of the banks that realizes the importance of IT in the digital era and has included IT as part of the company's strategic plan. The company states that compliance with regulations, best practices, and standards is key to a successful IT implementation. In this study, the measurement of the capability level of corporate IT governance was conducted to determine what IT priorities were based on the company's strategic objectives and what recommendations could be given based on best practices to improve IT services in support of the company's strategic goals. The framework to be used is control objective for information and related technology (COBIT); the most widely used framework suitable for service-oriented organizations. The results of research using COBIT 2019 show how IT governance is needed by the company and what should be prioritized. The measurement results found that there is still a gap between management's expectations and the current level of capability and provide recommendations on what companies need to improve performance in order to meet expectations.

Abstract

To overcome the fundamental shortcomings of single-trait biometric systems, multimodal solutions have gained considerable interest. In this work, a score-level fusion scheme for biometric authentication is introduced, where information from multiple modalities is combined using conventional mean operators such as arithmetic, harmonic, geometric, and quadratic means, with particular attention given to the power mean formulation. The proposed framework increases system robustness while preserving low computational complexity and requiring no training phase. Performance is assessed on three well-known public datasets: National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)-fingerprint, NIST-face, and XM2VTS, using standard score normalization methods and commonly employed evaluation metrics. The experimental analysis shows that the quadratic mean attains a genuine acceptance rate (GAR) of 91.50% on the NIST-fingerprint dataset, while the power mean with α = 5 achieves 82.40% on NIST-face. Furthermore, the half total error rate (HTER) on XM2VTS is reduced to 0.059. In comparison with learning-based fusion techniques, the proposed approach provides a more straightforward, computationally efficient, and dependable alternative for real-world biometric applications.

Abstract

The paper proposes a systems management approach that utilizes information technology (IT) treatment as a framework to help firms enhance future performance by optimising key parameters. The method certifies a valuation approach that enables businesses to better manage their IT infrastructure and improve performance. A case study of A case study of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) and PT XL Axiata (XL) (2004–2018) shows the method’s effectiveness. Once the IT value is identified, specific parameters can be engineered to improve performance without changing other variables. The approach uses a partial adjustment valuation model, enabling performance gains at lower costs. The results show significant improvements in both firms’ performance values and ratios compared to their originals. This supports adopting a cost leadership strategy, making IT based businesses more efficient, cost-effective, and better performing across financial, business, and strategic dimensions.

Abstract

This paper presents an end-to-end deep learning-based approach for orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) communication systems impaired by nonlinear power amplifiers (PAs) and channel fading. The PA nonlinearity is modeled using the modified Rapp model, and simulations are performed on a 64-subcarrier OFDM system with a cyclic prefix (CP) of 8 and 16-quadrature amplitude modulation (16-QAM). The proposed autoencoder-based OFDM–PA (AE-OFDM-PA) system jointly optimizes the transmitter and receiver through end-to-end learning, enabling simultaneous compensation of both PA nonlinearities and channel distortions without requiring explicit channel state information (CSI) estimation. Instead, the model leverages embedded pilot sequences to learn the implicit CSI representation directly from data, allowing the receiver to correct amplitude and phase distortions adaptively. Simulation results demonstrate that AE-OFDM-PA significantly outperforms conventional OFDM and OFDM-PA systems, achieving over 70× block error rate (BLER) improvement compared with the uncompensated OFDM-PA system at an input back-off (IBO) of 3 dB. Furthermore, the proposed method achieves approximately 11.5 dB adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR) improvement over the classical memory polynomial digital predistortion (DPD) technique, while slightly reducing the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). Overall, AE-OFDM-PA provides a robust, spectrally efficient, and low-complexity solution for nonlinear and fading environments with unknown or varying CSI.

Abstract

The management of licensing data for Early Childhood Education (ECE) institutions at the Department of Education and Culture of Ogan Ilir Regency previously relied on fragmented spreadsheet-based systems, resulting in data redundancy, limited accessibility, low traceability, and a high risk of information loss. This study aims to develop a centralized web-based licensing information system using the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology to support digital governance and administrative efficiency. The system was developed through four iterative cycles based on user stories and continuous feedback from administrative staff. The application was implemented using the Laravel framework and a MySQL database to ensure system security and data integrity. Functional evaluation was conducted using Black-box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The testing results indicate that the system achieved 100 percent functional accuracy and reduced average licensing data processing time from approximately 15 minutes per record to less than 2 minutes. In addition, automated PDF document generation decreased report preparation time from about 20 minutes to less than 10 seconds. User acceptance evaluation showed a satisfaction level of 88%, indicating high usability and operational suitability. These results demonstrate that the application of Extreme Programming, particularly through iterative development and continuous user feedback, contributed significantly to system adaptability and reliability. The developed system enhances administrative efficiency, data consistency, transparency, and regulatory compliance in public sector educational administration.

Abstract

Background: Low Birth Weight (LBW) babies have a high risk of experiencing difficulties in maintaining body temperature and weight. Kangaroo Care Method (KMC) is an effective intervention to improve the health and growth of LBW babies through direct skin contact with the mother. However, its implementation requires good family support and access to correct information sources. Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between family support and information sources on the implementation of kangaroo care method for LBW babies at Kuprik Community Health Center. Method: This research method is quantitative research with an analytical survey approach. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a sample of 30 respondents at Kuprik Community Health Center. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi Square statistical test. Results: The results showed that 16 respondents (53.3%) received good family support, 18 respondents (60%) obtained information sources from health workers, and 15 respondents (50%) carried out kangaroo care method routinely. Data analysis obtained p = 0.003 (<0.05) so there is a significant relationship between family support and the implementation of kangaroo care method. and p = 0.012 (<0.05) indicates a significant relationship between information sources and the implementation of kangaroo care. Conclusion: Family support and good information sources play an important role in the successful implementation of kangaroo care. It is hoped that the Community Health Center can develop educational strategies and family empowerment to improve the implementation of kangaroo care for LBW infants.

Abstract

The effective implementation of Information Technology (IT) governance plays a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency, particularly in the agribusiness industry, which is increasingly reliant on digital systems. PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk Unit Kalapanunggal 2 utilizes the MyJapfa application to manage service requests and incident resolution as part of its IT service operations.This study aims to evaluate the capability level of the MyJapfa application using the COBIT 2019 framework, specifically focusing on the DSS02 subdomain—Managed Service Requests and Incidents. COBIT 2019 is a globally recognized IT governance model that ensures IT processes are aligned with organizational goals, making it highly relevant for agribusiness companies seeking consistency, compliance, and adaptability. The research methodology includes interviews, direct observations, and document analysis to measure IT process maturity. The findings reveal that the MyJapfa system currently operates at Capability Level 4 (Predictable Process), indicating consistent and measurable practices. However, several issues were identified, such as insufficient incident classification, lack of automated monitoring, and limited documentation of incident resolution. Recommendations include enhancing automation, formalizing classification schemes, integrating ERP systems, and conducting regular audits. These efforts are expected to strengthen IT governance and contribute to the digital transformation of the agribusiness sector.

Abstract

This study is in the field of information technology (IT) governance. Researchers investigated the implementation of IS/IT in a hospital located in Bondowoso, East Java. The results of the investigation showed that the hospital had implemented IS/IT by general hospital regulations and government policies. However, the IT governance system there is not good; there has been no evaluation process. Thus, the purpose of this study is to evaluate IT governance to determine the quality of their IT services and provide recommendations for improvement. The framework used is COBIT 2019 and ITIL V4. Data collection was carried out by interviewing and distributing questionnaires. Data were analyzed using a design toolkit that includes 10 design factors in COBIT 2019. The results of this study are that 3 management practices must achieve capability targets at level 4, namely BAI02, BAI03, and BAI07. Based on the current conditions, BAI02 and BAI03 have achieved level 3, and BAI07 has achieved level 2, with largely achieved rating criteria. This indicates that there is a gap. This study provides recommendations for actions that need to be taken by hospitals that focus on these 3 management practices. Recommendations are made with reference to COBIT 2019 and ITIL V4.

Abstract

UI/UX research often ends at the prototype validation, while the implementation process remains limited in empirical studies. This study implements UI/UX designs validated in previous research into an information system and evaluates the role of the Agile Kanban approach in bridging the gap between design and real system implementation. The research method uses an implementation-based evaluation that includes system requirements alignment, Agile Kanban-based iterative development, and post-implementation evaluation. The results show that of the total 34 screens developed, 6 were implemented according to the initial design, 8 were adjusted during development, and 20 additional screens were developed to meet operational stakeholder needs. Development performance reached 135%, calculated as the ratio between completed and initially planned features. The development process was conducted through 4 Kanban cycles that allowed for controlled adjustments to business logic and feature additions. This study identified 5 main gaps in the implementation of the design in the real system. Post-implementation evaluation showed that all 79 functional requirements were successfully implemented with a total of 27 functional features, exceeding the initial plan of 20 features. The system was declared fully accepted through User Acceptance Testing and achieved a System Usability Scale score of 78.3 from 60 respondents, which is in the Acceptable category. These results indicate that Agile Kanban is effective in bridging the gap between UI/UX design validation and real system implementation, and is able to maintain usability quality in operational systems. This provides practical direction for organisations that seek to operationalise validated designs within dynamic development settings.

Abstract

Software quality directly impacts organizational effectiveness, yet university information systems in developing nations frequently face compounded challenges, including resource constraints, limited developer expertise, and inadequate quality assurance mechanisms. Although static code analysis systematically detects software defects, translating technical findings into actionable, context-appropriate strategies remains problematic for resource-limited academic institutions. This research investigated structural quality, security vulnerabilities, and maintainability characteristics of a university academic information system, formulating contextually informed recommendations that reconcile technical assessment outcomes with institutional constraints. The case study employed four sequential phases: organizational context evaluation, quantification of code-complexity metrics, comprehensive quality assessment via static analysis, and development of context-sensitive recommendations. Correlation analysis examined relationships between structural complexity indicators and maintainability degradation. Examination of 127 PHP files revealed 9,628 quality defects, with maintainability issues accounting for 89.9%, alongside 18 critical security vulnerabilities and severe complexity, with individual methods reaching cyclomatic complexity values of 263. Strong positive correlations emerged between complexity metrics and maintainability problems (r = 0.938, p < 0.001), indicating that complexity is a reliable predictor of quality deterioration. Issue distribution patterns across all examined files suggested systemic quality degradation rather than isolated problematic modules. Findings document critical security exposures, excessive structural complexity, and pervasive maintainability deficiencies, validating significant associations between complexity and maintenance burden. The study proposes a bifurcated improvement approach encompassing tactical measures targeting immediate technical debt, including security vulnerabilities and architectural complexity, complemented by strategic interventions, providing academic information system managers with a prioritized remediation action calibrated to institutional resource constraints.
