Abstract

Student attendance recording at MTs Wasilatul Huda Sukadana, East Lampung, is currently managed manually using paper-based attendance books, resulting in delayed attendance recapitulation, the risk of document loss, and the absence of real-time communication with parents. Consequently, parents often remain unaware of their children's attendance status until the end of the semester, reducing opportunities for timely intervention. This study aims to develop an Android-based student attendance information system integrated with real-time parental notifications. The system was developed using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the Waterfall model, including requirements analysis, UML-based system design, implementation using Flutter, Laravel RESTful API, MySQL, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), followed by Black Box Testing. The developed application enables teachers to record attendance through manual input or QR-code scanning, while parents instantly receive notifications containing attendance status, recording time, and remarks. Testing of 24 functional features achieved a 100% validity rate. Notification performance evaluation across 50 simulated attendance events showed a 100% delivery success rate with an average latency of 2.3 seconds. The average time for parents to receive attendance information decreased from several hours to less than five seconds. The study concludes that the system significantly enhances the timeliness, accuracy, and transparency of attendance communication between schools and parents, while supporting more effective monitoring of student attendance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the owner's education level, business age, and business turnover on the use of accounting information in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Lamongan Regency. This study has high urgency because the level of accounting information adoption among MSMEs in Lamongan is still relatively low, whereas proper accounting practices are crucial for business sustainability and development.Unlike previous studies that mostly examined only one or two variables, this research comprehensively investigates three main factors simultaneously to provide a deeper understanding of accounting information usage behavior within the MSME context. This study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Primary data were obtained through distributing questionnaires to MSME actors in Lamongan Regency, which served as the population of this study. Out of a total population of 72,924 business units, 100 respondents were selected using a simple random sampling technique. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression tests. The results indicate that the owner’s education level, business age, and business turnover have a significant effect on the use of accounting information partially. In addition, these three variables also have a significant effect simultaneously. This finding provides new empirical evidence in the context of MSMEs in Lamongan and offers practical implications for local government in designing accounting literacy programs and MSME assistance strategies to enhance business sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the onboarding process of new IT employees at the Center for Education Data and Information Technology (UPT Pusdatin Pendidikan), under the Education Office of DKI Jakarta Province. The study further examines the factors influencing the success of IT employee onboarding and identifies strategies for implementing effective onboarding practices. A qualitative research approach was employed, with data collected through interviews and document analysis. Data analysis involved data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the onboarding process for IT employees at UPT Pusdatin is still passive and poorly structured. This is evident from the lack of formal training, absence of written guidelines, and a reliance on individual initiative for adaptation. Four main factors influencing onboarding success were identified: self-efficacy, role clarity, social integration, and knowledge of organizational culture. These aspects face ongoing challenges due to limited organizational support, suboptimal communication, and the lack of a formal socialization system. To enhance onboarding effectiveness, a shift toward a more proactive, systematic, and sustainable approach is recommended. The proposed strategies include the development of structured onboarding programs, implementation of mentoring or buddy systems, regular evaluations with two-way feedback, and activities fostering social and cultural integration within the organization. Successful implementation of these strategies requires strong commitment from UPT leadership to consistently welcome, support, and guide new employees to enable quick adaptation and meaningful contribution in the workplace.

Abstract

The preservation of cultural heritage buildings in Palopo City faces significant challenges due to rapid urbanization and the absence of robust spatial and historical documentation systems. This study aims to develop a WebGIS-based information system integrated with multi-criteria analysis as a foundation for determining conservation priorities. The research methodology combines a descriptive-qualitative approach with quantitative analysis using Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA). The empirical assessment covered 17 cultural heritage buildings in Palopo City, comprising royal and sacred heritage assets, colonial public buildings, military and administrative facilities, and public service buildings. Data were collected through literature review, field surveys, and in-depth interviews with experts, including cultural heritage specialists, architects, and civil engineers, to establish the weights of 17 assessment criteria adapted from international standards and national regulations. Each building’s score was calculated by multiplying the expert-assigned weights with field condition assessments, producing a classification of conservation priorities. MCDA results classified three buildings as high priority, four as medium-high priority, and ten as medium priority. The results were then integrated into a WebGIS platform that interactively displays location maps, historical narratives, architectural attributes, and conservation scores. The system serves not only as a medium for documentation and public education but also as an evidence-based decision-support tool for government, academics, and local communities in preserving the cultural heritage of Palopo City.
