Abstract

Background: Dental and oral health problems among elementary students can be resolved through an oral health programme in schools. The main factor that inhibited this scheme was that the recording and reporting still employed a manual system, making it less effective and efficient. The electronic application of this programme can help managers to complete both of these tasks. Purpose: This study’s aim is to assess the effectiveness of the electronic application that is utilised in the oral health school programme to increase the quality of the information relating to the recording of dental health data in schools. Methods: This study used a pre-test and post-test one-group design, and the sample consisted of 37 oral health programme managers in schools who were chosen via simple random sampling. The data in this study was analysed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Results: The results showed that the use of the electronic application as part of the oral health scheme influenced the quality of the information when details were recorded and reported. This can be seen in the rise in the standard of the information that was noted and disclosed when comparing data before and after using the electronic application; the average value of 1.54 (standard deviation=1.45) increased to an average value of 3.58 (standard deviation=2.84) with a significance level of 0.000 (p<0.05). Conclusion: The electronic application used in conjunction with the oral health programme was effective in raising the quality of dental health records in schools.

Abstract

Women have the right to take health measures on their bodies. In carrying out health measures, individuals need to seek health information. Health information can be obtained from the environment such as family, neighborhood, and groups involved in it. Along with the increase in technology, information is obtained from the individual environment and the outside world through electronic media and information spread in electronic media can be accessed anytime and anywhere. One of the groups seeking information about health from electronic media is PKK Gunung Anyar Tambak. This study used a qualitative method by conducting in-depth interviews with 16 members of the PKK Gunung Anyar Tambak using snowball sampling. This study found that the information conveyed by women was considered correct after carrying out the information management process with other people, so it requires a negotiation process when taking health measures for their families. In this case, negotiations were carried out with each of the husbands of PKK Gunung Anyar Tambak members. The husband has the power to reject or accept the information conveyed by the wife. The wife must manage online health information obtained from electronic media before it is conveyed to her husband and it can be accepted and practiced in her family.

Abstract

This paper investigates the notion of sovereignty and territorial integrity of states in cyberspace by carefully examining the information security debate. Nowadays, issues related to infosec are posing fundamental challenges to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nation-states. Our analysis has attempted to answer the critical question, which aspect makes infosec the most pressing issue of the 21st century? The United States, The Russian Federation, and China are the three technologically superior nations and are included in the study to compare their understanding of infosec issues. The authors have typically relied on their expertise to interpret primary and secondary data because of descriptive discourse. Moreover, the study is efficiently conducted through a deductive approach and has applied non-kineticism as a theoretical model. The results showed that due to the compelling non-kinetic application of infosec, the debate at international forums had become a victim of geopolitical considerations. Results also revealed that the discourse of infosec needs to be disassociated from social freedom as it has been adopted for military application and requires a national security perspective to confine the course of security implications. In abstract, the notion of infosec has given birth to new contestation in the domain of cyberspace that altogether would lead the competition into the ‘digital battlefield.’

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of digitalization of accounting information on MSMEs profitability and productivity. The population in this study was MSMEs in Semarang which were registered at the Cooperative and UMKM Agency of Semarang as of October 2019 totaling 17.010 units. There are 300 cases selected using purposive sampling method with the criteria that the companies use computerize transaction recording and/or utilize smart devices for business communication. The primary data were collected from MSMEs’ manager through questionnaire that was distributed in several public events such as exhibition and seminars. The study took the simple regression analysis utilizing SPSS 22.0 software. The findings show that that digitalization of accounting information has significant impacts on increasing profitability. Another finding shows that digitalization of accounting information does not affect the companies’ productivity. This research is based on the Technological Acceptance Model (TAM) theory and the Schumpeterian theory. In practice, the results of this study can be socialized to the MSMEs managers so that they can use this to evaluate the implementation of accounting information in their business. This study can also be used by government and others related parties to consider in providing business assistance for MSMEs to improve the impact of digitalization of accounting information

Abstract

This study was focused on cumulonimbus (Cb) cloud prediction based on Integrated Forecast System (IFS) European Medium-Range Weather Forecast (ECMWF) model in the Flight Information Region (FIRs) Jakarta and Ujung Pandang. The Cb cloud prediction was calculated using convective cloud cover (CC) of the precipitation product. The model predictability was examined through categorical verification. The Cb cloud observation was based on brightness temperature (BT) IR1 and brightness temperature difference (BTD) IR1-IR2. The results showed that CC 50%' predictor was the best predictor to estimate the Cb cloud. The study in the period other than 2019 is suggested for the next research because Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) is extreme that may affect the Cb cloud growth in the study area.
