Abstract

The high population and density of cities in Indonesia raise a number of urban problems that require creative and innovative solutions. One of the steps taken by the municipal government is to implement the concept of smart city, one of which is by utilizing information and communication technology (ICT). The municipal government applies ICT by creating websites and applications to provide a variety of city information and municipal government services to all residents that can also be shared on their online social network. However, it is not clear whether the residents perceive that the provided information is useful and whether the intentions to seek and share information from smart city platform are influenced by the perceived usefulness of the information and the citizen’ online social network attributes. Hence, this study was conducted with the aim to analyze the effect of the perceived usefulness of smart city information and social network attributes (number of ties and diversity of ties) on intention to seek and share information on smart city websites and applications in cities in Indonesia. The data were collected using a survey method, involving 1,161 respondents in 8 major cities in Indonesia, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Semarang, Medan, Makassar, Denpasar, and Banjarmasin. The survey results were analyzed using partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), and it is concluded that the perceived usefulness of smart city information and the residents’ online social network attributes have positive and significant effects on the intention to seek information and intention to share information on smart city websites and apps.

Abstract

In Indonesia, information and communication technology (ICT) is one of the most crucial economy accelerators, for every 10% increase in the ICT investment, the nation’s GDP grows as much as 1.87%. However, the use of ICT leaves adverse impacts on the environment, particularly carbon emission and toxic waste. This phenomenon has led to the proliferation of the topic of environmental sustainability, one of which is green information technology (GIT). GIT is defined as the utilization of ICT that can directly or indirectly reduce the adverse impact of business processes on the environment. This paper aims to evaluate GIT research to attain a better understanding of the field of GIT in Indonesia through a literature review. Published papers are categorized and a gap analysis is presented to reveal areas that need to be explored more. The results of this study potentially serve as a guide for future studies in GIT, particularly in Indonesia. This research finds that the topic has gained popularity in recent years. There are various research themes under the topic of GIT in Indonesia, with the most explored one being the design and implementation of GIT. The majority of the studies are case-based, limiting the research scope to one particular organization. This leaves broader research objects open to be explored more.

Abstract

Businesses of any scale today cannot be separated from Information Systems and Technology, whether large or small scale requires a reliable information system to support appropriate, effective and efficient decision making for stakeholders. The information system that is currently trending in the business world is an Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) based on cloud computing (Cloud) which can help users run a business anywhere and anytime. In a report released by Delloite entitled: Hot Topics for IT Internal Audit In Financial Services reveals that the current hot issues are Cyber Security, Data Protection and Data Privacy, IT Governance and IT Risk. PT Petrokopindo is a company that has implemented cloud-based ERP. However, the potential for risks such as Cyber Security, Data Protection and Data Privacy from Cloud ERP can occur, which can disrupt the company's business operations. In this research, case studies will be carried out on companies that have implemented Cloud-ERP. The method used is the COBIT 5 Framework, which was chosen as the best and more complete guideline than other frameworks in the IT / IS management field (Sutikno, 2014). The expected result is to be able to identify security gaps and material weaknesses of the Cloud- ERP information system and then provide recommendations for improvements so that IS / IT becomes more reliable. It is hoped that this research can be useful for the development of IS / IT governance science, and as input for stakeholders on the Cloud-ERP platform in increasing the reliability of an IS / IT against the risk of information leakage and cyber attacks.

Abstract

AbstractIntrusion Detection System is a system that was developed for monitoring and filtering activity in network with identified of attack. Because of the amount of the data that need to be checked by IDS is very large and many foreign feature that can make the analysis process difficult for detection suspicious pattern of behavior, so that IDS need for reduce amount of the data to be processed by reducing features that can be done by feature selection. In this study, combines two methods of feature ranking is Information Gain Ratio and Correlation and classify it using K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm. The result of feature ranking from the both methods divided into two groups. in the first group searched for the median value and in the second group is removed. Then do the classification of  K-Nearest Neighbor using 10 fold cross validation and do the tests with values k=5. The result of the  proposed modelling produce the highest accuracy of 99.61%. While the highest accuracy value of the not using the feature selection is 99.59%.

Abstract

One of the most common obstacles encountered in the construction industry is the fragmented delivery process and relies on paper-based documentation and communication. To overcome these problems a good integration system is needed. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a construction technology innovation that can help stakeholders to collaborate, visualize, and manage construction work better. However, the adoption rate of BIM in Indonesia is still behind compared to other countries. This research was conducted to gather information about the BIM adoption experience and the challenges and benefits faced by construction actors in Indonesia. This study uses the literature review method for data collection. Based on the results of the study it was found that in general the level of adoption of BIM by construction actors in Indonesia is still low, the main challenge faced is the high investment costs of BIM applications, while time efficiency is the dominant benefit of using BIM.
