Abstract

The application of postpartum birth control is very important because the return of fertility to a mother after giving birth is unpredictable and can occur before the arrival of the menstrual cycle, even in breastfeeding women. The first ovulation in a non-breastfeeding woman can occur as early as 34 days postpartum, even earlier. This causes during breastfeeding, women often experience unwanted pregnancy (KTD / unwanted pregnancy) at intervals close to previous pregnancies. Contraception should be used before sexual activity begins. It is therefore very strategic to start contraception as early as possible after delivery. After efforts to increase knowledge, it is hoped that cadres in the Gambirsari Health Center work area can provide counseling to mothers related to postpartum family planning. Method of implementation with lectures and discussions. The media used are modules, LCDs, laptops, and projectors. The implementation of health education is planned to be carried out at posyandu activities, namely in April-August 2020. The result of community service is that 90% of cadres know and understand better and from the results of monitoring and evaluation by meeting again at Posyandu Kinasih, 90% of cadres can explain the contents of the postpartum family planning counseling module. Based on the implementation of community service, it can be concluded that there is an increase in counseling skills, information, motivation and skills in using family planning at postpartum by cadres in the working area of Puskesmas Gambirsari Surakarta.

Abstract

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is one of the most advanced developments in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry that can generate a 3D virtual information model which can be used for planning, design, construction, and operations. As Building Information Modelling (BIM) approaches the construction industry as a new technology and process, changes in the industry have created some barriers to BIM adoption in Malaysia. This research aims to enhance the implementation of BIM in the construction stage of Sarawak's construction industry by identifying and classifying the critical barriers. This study fills this current knowledge gap and enhances the understanding of BIM in the construction stage and the factors that hinder implementation in Sarawak. To develop the challenges being faced in this industry, a set of barrier clusters based on people, process, policy, technology, and cost were pre-identified through a literature review, and a structured interview involving three BIM experts was conducted on WebEx to refine these barriers with the current industry situation. As an outcome, this study identified 49 of the barriers from the literature and refined them into 26 of the barriers under their main clusters. Interestingly, they all validated the fact that lack of government involvement in BIM implementation is an undeniable barrier factor to growing BIM utilization and reaching its full potential. This study will form the basis of further research, and additional studies focusing on prioritizing these identified barriers for strategic planning would help the construction players in their swift transformation to BIM.

Abstract

Building Information Modelling (BIM) Construction Lifecycle Process offers digital construction solutions throughout the whole project lifecycle by providing sustainable productivity and quality and increasing the work collaboration and efficiency of the design teams. BIM represents the development and application of computer-generated n-dimensional (n-D) models to simulate building construction planning, design, construction, and operation. In Sarawak, the BIM technology does not meet the construction stakeholder's expectations during the project lifecycles in different stages, which resulted in low BIM implementation. Therefore, this research study aims to identify the salient barrier factors to the implementation of BIM in the Sarawak construction industry, specifically in the design stage. To achieve the research study, the methodology is applied through literature review, followed by an online interview with BIM experts in Sarawak Construction Industry. Lastly, the findings of this study indicate the most salient factors faced by the Sarawak construction industry until the present, in terms of Technology, Cost, Management, Personal and Policy, such as (1) Lack of active participation from consultants in the project team, (2) Low enforcement from client, (3) Lack of senior management support, (4) Lack of desire to change of the older generation to implement BIM and (5) Lack of the knowledge regarding the cost benefits for implementing BIM.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically reduced tourism in Indonesia. Information, both legal and unclear, is milling about in cyberspace. Researchers are concerned with this problem by asking research questions about how much influence digital literacy has on attitudes toward responding to hoax news in new media. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of digital literacy on attitudes toward responding to hoax news in new media. The concepts used are digital literacy, new media, and audience attitudes in responding to information in new media. Previous research has assisted this research in supporting this research. Questionnaires were distributed to the respondents in this study, accompanied by several interviews with several sources. The results of the validity and reliability tests of this study were good enough that they could proceed to the next statistical stage. The results of the descriptive research are positive. The condition of the COVID-19 pandemic has made tourism in Indonesia worse for tourist areas. Hoax information has made the area worse both economically and on the other hand. The relationship between digital literacy and the respondents' attitudes in this study is strong. The null hypothesis in this study was rejected, so the alternative research hypothesis was accepted. The novelty in this study is that the relationship between the two variables is in a pandemic condition that has lasted for two years in Indonesia. The impact of this pandemic has made tourist areas in Indonesia very problematic for the economy and people's lives. Suggestions for research include: additional research can describe or add additional analysis in solving societal problems.

Abstract

The tremendous quantity of waste produced from construction and demolition is a major cause of environmental degradation. This quantity tends to increase due to the rapid growth of building development and renovation. Meanwhile, construction waste management is a complex and costly process due to the fact that it requires different kinds of resources such as money, land, and technology. It is often ignored by all project participants even though it is an essential element of construction project management. However, it has been discovered that modern construction waste management is structured based on the concept of circular economy which focuses on eliminating construction waste and maximizing the value of materials. Therefore, this research proposes an innovative framework to implement the circular economy using building information modeling (BIM) in order to improve the construction waste management process. This involved a thorough review of past literature to identify the implementation of the concept of circular economy, waste management, and the application of BIM, also the research gaps observed were used to develop the functionality of the proposed framework. The five functionalities include (1) visualization and data integration, (2) direct construction waste quantity take-off, (3) BIM-based sorting system and selection of appropriate disposal parties, (4) estimating cost and schedule of waste disposal, and (5) simulation and monitoring report. This BIM system was designed to analyze material waste, quantity, disposal time, and waste treatment based on project conditions, material quantities, and schedule. It can also be used to plan and monitor the construction waste process, thereby making it possible to avoid the disruption of productivity and project time usually caused by unplanned waste management activities. Moreover, the proposed on-site sorting system also has the ability to facilitate the adoption of the circular economy concept during the construction phase.
