Abstract

This study aims to examine the urgency and relevance of the Love Curriculum in Arabic language learning as an effort to strengthen character education in the digital era. The rapid advancement of information technology has significantly transformed the learning process; however, it has also given rise to challenges such as increasing intolerance, the spread of hate speech, radicalism, and the erosion of humanitarian values among students. These conditions necessitate curriculum innovation that emphasizes not only the development of academic competencies but also the cultivation of character grounded in the values of compassion, tolerance, moderation, and respect for diversity. This study employed a qualitative approach using a library research design. Data were collected from primary and secondary sources, including books, scholarly journal articles, official documents issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs, and previous studies related to the Love Curriculum, Arabic language learning, character education, and educational transformation in the digital era. The data were analyzed using content analysis through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the Love Curriculum has a high level of urgency in Arabic language learning because it integrates language proficiency with the internalization of character values such as empathy, tolerance, cooperation, and respect for differences. Furthermore, the Love Curriculum is highly relevant in the digital era as it promotes the meaningful use of educational technology while maintaining the affective and moral dimensions of learning. Therefore, the Love Curriculum represents a strategic alternative for fostering humanistic, inclusive, and character-oriented Arabic language learning that aligns with the vision of a moderate, civilized, and nationally oriented education system.

Abstract

The capital market serves as a source of funding for companies and an investment vehicle for the public, with corporate performance acting as the primary driver of investor appeal. Corporate performance is heavily influenced by macroeconomic conditions and the company's fundamental factors. This study aims to re-examine the impact of fundamental and macroeconomic factors on stock prices. Data from 105 property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2022 and 2024 were analyzed using multiple regression at a significance level of 0.05. The results indicate that ROA, firm size, and inflation have a significant partial effect on stock prices, whereas DER and GDP do not.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology have made it easier to access various internet-based activities, including online gambling, which is becoming increasingly prevalent in society and giving rise to various social, economic, and psychological impacts. This study aims to examine public perceptions of online gambling in the digital age in Harjosari II, Medan Amplas, focusing on the public's cognitive, affective, and psychomotor perceptions. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving seven informants. The findings indicate that, in cognitive terms, the public generally possesses knowledge of the forms, risks, and impacts of online gambling and views it as harmful behavior. In affective terms, the majority exhibit rejection, concern, and anxiety because online gambling is considered contrary to social and religious norms. In psychomotor terms, individuals who have been involved report negative impacts, while those not exposed tend to adopt preventive behaviors. The findings show that public perceptions of online gambling tend to be negative and view it as a social problem requiring prevention. It is therefore recommended that digital literacy be strengthened, parental supervision enhanced, the roles of community and religious leaders optimized, and cooperation between government and the public fostered.

Abstract

Stigma, discrimination, and various forms of social pressure experienced by people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) may affect their psychological well-being. This issue is particularly important because most HIV cases in Indonesia occur among adults of productive age who face various social demands and responsibilities. This study aims to describe the psychological well-being of adult PLWHA at Yayasan Medan Plus. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Seven informants participated in the study, including three adult PLWHA as primary informants, who were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the psychological well-being of adult PLWHA is reflected in the six dimensions proposed by Ryff and Keyes: self-acceptance, positive relations with others, autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life, and personal growth. The informants demonstrated acceptance of their HIV status, received meaningful support from family and peer supporters, made independent life decisions, utilized available resources, maintained hopes and future goals, and experienced positive changes in their perspectives and awareness of health after diagnosis. Although they continued to experience stigma, discrimination, and fear of rejection, the informants demonstrated the ability to adapt to their circumstances.

Abstract

This study discusses the role of group support in maintaining the quality of life of breast cancer patients in the Share and Care Community in Medan City. Breast cancer does not only affect patients' physical condition, but also influences their psychological, social, and spiritual aspects, so that non-medical support becomes important in accompanying the treatment process and maintaining a comprehensive quality of life. This study aims to describe the forms of group support, analyze its role in maintaining the quality of life of breast cancer patients, and identify the obstacles and challenges faced by the Share and Care Community. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation with informants selected purposively. The results show that the most prominent form of group support is the support group, manifested through emotional support, sharing experiences, providing information, practical assistance, and a sense of togetherness among fellow survivors. This group support plays a role in maintaining patients' quality of life from a biopsychosocial-spiritual perspective, helping patients become more prepared to undergo treatment, emotionally stronger, socially connected, and able to gain hope and meaning in facing the illness. The study also found that the implementation of group support still faces challenges, especially in the continuity of activities, limited community resources, spiritual strengthening that still tends to be oriented toward a particular religion, the need for the involvement of medical social workers, and the need for collaboration with relevant parties.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse parents’ parenting self-efficacy (PSE) in fostering independence in high-achieving children with disabilities at the Deli Serdang State Special School. This study employs a qualitative method using a case study approach. The research informants comprised five main informants—namely, three parents of high-achieving children with disabilities and two parents of children with disabilities who had not yet achieved academic success—three key informants from the Deli Serdang State Special School, and five additional informants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation, using source triangulation techniques. The research findings indicate that parents of high-achieving children with disabilities possess a stronger PSE based on Coleman and Karraker’s five dimensions: achievement, recreation, caregiving, health, and discipline. Parents play an active role in supporting their children’s development through academic support, meeting emotional needs, managing health, and developing their children’s potential. The difference between parents of high-achieving children and those of children who have not yet achieved is evident in the quality of parenting practices, rather than in the affection shown. Parental Self-Efficacy is influenced by parents’ acceptance of their child’s condition, experiences of success, social support, and belief in their child’s abilities. This study recommends strengthening parental support programmes and family support through schools and the community.
