Abstract

Fast becomes one of the expressions of penance from the Christians during the Lent. Fast is an effort of mortification. Aksi Puasa Pembangunan (APP) is an act of fast in the form of alms. Through the APP, the penance is directed to build His Kingdom (compared to LG art 1). In this case, the Kingdom of God is not created by human, but it is by God. Human only participates in the process, and prepare His coming until He comes and give the fulfilment. Vision of constructing in APP is based on the self-renewal which give birth the social renewal in the society. In the period of construction, fast is directed to the actions which can lead human to his entity. APP movement enable the development of Christians to be more responsible for his own life and the society.

Abstract

Church in Indonesia is still regarded a foreign entity in the midst of the largersociety where it stands. It comes to happen because the church is often consideredof not willing to open herself to create a dialogue with the society. In this case,Pauls experience in Athen (Acts 17:22-31) could perhaps become inspiration for theChurch in building a sincere dialogue with her circumstance. In his conversationwith the Athenians, Paul succesfully made use of the elements which actuallybelong to the background of his partners as a means for proclaiming Jesus Christ.By doing this, at the same time, he placed the Athenians as his equal partners ofdialogue. Creating a dialogue with others is indeed a long unending process thatreally requires repentances from those who are involved in it.

Abstract

Since the beginning of the Christianity, Gnosticism is a challenge to the Christian faith. The Churchs Fathers called gnostic a source of all heretics. Generally, gnostic has a dualistic system; good-evil, light-darkness, world of pleroma material world. The True God is completely transcendent. The universe is created by the lower God, and belongs to the material world. Human being is a composite nature, created by by the lower God but has a divine spark within. Through the achievement of gnosis human being can liberate the divine spark from the prison of the material world. In gnostic system Jesus Christ is a Messenger of Light who teaches gnosis to his disciple. His role is not other than a teacher who helps his disciple to know gnosis. Nowadays, gnostic system appears in some psychological practices, meditation and spiritual movement centered on the self-manifestation.

Abstract

The development of human's life cannot be separated from one's learning experience. Education is a process of learning human values as one experience from the beginning of one's life. A value is uniquely human because it has to do directly with human cognitive ability that enable them to discern and decide priority along with its different qualities of its objects. One of the important values that determines the quality of human dignity is moral value. Therefore, introduction to the moral values needs to be done from the early age. For children, the process of the introduction needs to be adapted to their cognitive development as well as its learning environment and its means. In this way, moral values will be efectively internalized.

Abstract

Bagaimana menghayati pokok iman kristiani dan bagaimana kata-kata Yesus Kristus "yang memimpin kita dalam iman", sehingga iman kristiani mempunyai arti real di antara agama-agama lain, dalam hidup orang yang tidak pernah akan menjadi kristiani?Karangan ini berpangkal pada dua karangan teologi mutakhir yang monumental mengenai YesusKristus dan arti iman kristiani dalam pluralisme agama, yakni karangan Jacques Dupuis, Toward a Christian Theology of Religious Pluralism (1997), dan karangan Roger Haighf, Jesus Symbol of God (1999). J. Dupuis menerima pluralisme agama-agama; artinya: agama-agama lain tidak dapat direduksikan menjadi benih-benih atau batu loncatan saja untuk menerima Yesus Kristus. R. Haight lebih menempatkan diri pada posisi pluralis dan mempertanyakan bagaimana kistologi mesti memandangKristus konstitutif dalam iman kita. Bagi komunitas kristiani, Yesus merupakan norma negatif, artinya: tak mungkin orang kistiani mengimani yang bertentangan dengan Yesus; dan secara positif: Yesus berfungsi heuristik, yakni membuka imajinasi kristiani dan membimbing orang beriman, dalam relasi dengan orang beriman lain, menuju kebenaran yang makin penuh, kebenaran yang lebih jauh dalam komunitas yang menempuh perjalanan sejarah.lntegritas kristiani ditentukan oleh lnjil Yesus Kristus; namun, tradisi dan kebenaran lnjil YesusKristus itu terbuka dan berhubungan dengan tradisi dan dengan kebenaran dalam agama-agama lain. Bagaimana kita hidup dan berbicara sebagai orang kristiani, integer dan terbuka, di antara saudara-saudara kita yang muslim?

Abstract

The focus of this paper is how to preserve the living environment comprehensively in crisis situation in which a very poor environment. The method used for writing this article is a pastoral reflection method. The reflection comes from the real life or the experiences of environment crisis. The next step is to find out the crisis of fundamental method. The last stage of the pastoral reflection is presenting proposals for overcoming the crisis environment and with a comprehensive approach to seeking ways to conserve the environment concrete. The conclusion from this reflection is the environmental crisis occurred because of the consciousness, Humans mentality and responsibility are integral part of nature that must preserve the unity of his life in his environment which sometimes obscured by the mentality of anthropocentric (means human as the center and the ruler of the universe) and biocentrism (humans consciousness as a part of the living thing). To preserve nature, human beings need to build awareness and ecological mentality, that is, every person is aware and living life in a synergistic networking with others, Gods creations and God. Preserving environment is a human responsibility to cherish and develop comprehensive and integral life.
