Abstract

This thesis examines the implementation of pastoral environments in Parish St. Peter and Paul, Babadan, Yogyakarta. And aims to look at the effectiveness of pastoral guidance for basic Christians community (lingkungan) based on KDPL (Kebijakan Dasar tentang Pastoral Lingkungan) for the development of the faithful in the lingkungan. Basis of existing policies that would encourage the development of pastoral environment would boost the faith of the faithful. This thesis uses quantitative and qualitative methods. The Qualitative methods using means of questions aimed at people in the lingkungan of St. Peter and Paul Babadan Parish. Key informants are faithful in the lingkungan. While quantitative methods by asking for some leader of lingkungan and parish priest. Basic theory of the research policies is KDPL in the Archdiocese of Semarang. The data then analyzed and formulated as a conclusion.

Abstract

The presence of the Franciscans and Dominicans in the XIII century had reshaped the ecclesiology on local Church. This new understanding has helped the Church to be more responsive to the need of the people of God and the signs of the times. Luther and the Reformation challenged the Catholic Church to find a new way of being Church. A Church that overemphazied its structure, laws and superior organization (societas perfecta) was deeply questioned. On the other hand, the Holy Spirit of renewal could not be contained by a single reformation. The development in Patristic studies, Scriptures, lay movement, ecumenism as well as renewal in liturgy gave birth to a new ecclesiology that listens to the Holy Spirit seriously, and also the Scriptures as well as participation of the entire people of God as Christs mystical body in building unity. These various movements of renewal will eventually be discerned and attended by the Second Vatican Council.

Abstract

The Congregation of the Sisters Servants of Christ (Abdi Kristus, AK) chose Saint Thrse of the Child Jesus as their second patron. The purpose of this choice was that the AK sisters follow her life in their life of prayer, communion as well as mission. To determine whether the sisters have been familiar with the simplicity of life and spirituality of Saint Thrse, the author conducted this extensive research. The results lead to the conclusion that the introduction of the spirituality of Saint Thrse of the Child Jesus still needs to be intensified with a study on her life, especially the life of prayer which is reflected in her autobiography and personal letters, particularly within the framework of the initial formation of the AK sisters.

Abstract

Religious life is directly related to cultural life. This is observable among Sundanese Catholics in Cigugur. In religious life, the respective Sundanese culture strongly marked its influence. The way one lives his or her religiosity also reflects their culture. It is common that religious people live together with other people of different religious belief and practices. In this context culture helps them to be able to live harmoniously with people from different religions. This article focuses on the history of the Catholic community in Cigugur, Kuningan while inquiring the role of the Sundanese culture in their daily life within their Catholic community.

Abstract

The javanese mysticism (Kejawen) reflects a kind of messianic idea of a just king(Ratu Adil)that can be compared to the notion of "God's reign" in Christianity. The concept of "Ratu Adil" had inevitably influenced javanese customs, language system as well as various ritual traditions. Considering that the Kejawen itself is a mixture of various elements from different religious systems (such as Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam), it is neccessary to trace back sources or traditions, from which the notion of Ratu Adil had been developed. This article aims to discuss and to compare the understanding of "Ratu Adil" with the notion of "God's reign".

Abstract

Realitas tentang identitas keagamaan ganda telah membawa teologi Kristiani menuju pada arah yang baru, yakni teologi lintas-iman, teologi yang bertumpu pada konteks daripada teks, pengalaman daripada pemikiran yang abstrak. Identitas keagamaan ganda telah menjadi bahan kajian teologis. Namun, kajian teologis kerap kali berhenti pada abstraksi yang jauh dari kenyataan. Maka, analis atas pengalaman nyata dari pelaku keagamaan ganda akan memberi nuansa baru pada kajian teologis tersebut. Tulisan ini membahas kompleksitas istilah keagamaan ganda dan analisis teologis atas fenomena tersebut. Analisis atas pengalaman konkret dari individu dan kelompok yang memiliki identitas keagamaan ganda pada bagian akhir dari tulisan ini menjadi bentuk terapan teologis.

Abstract

The Second Vatican Councils document Actuocitatem Apostolicam, said that parents and educators are the first and foremost heralds of the faith to their children's.Based on this background, the author conducted a field study of the Catholic families who are active in the church activities and who provide a good education to their children. The method of research is a qualitative one. As a researcher, the author conducted in-depth interviews with selected five families (parents and children) as informants. After collecting data, the author makes an analysis of the data, an executive summary, a conclusion of the study, an theological reflection, and pastoral recommendations .Finally, the author concludes that the inheritance of faith and education from parents to their children is very effective. Inheritance and parenting education faith which are done properly, produces an improved childs faith. The duties and responsibilities of a parent things in the inheritance of the children's faith and education is very important. Moreover, the challenges of today's believers live very serious. So, the child who has a strong foundation of faith will be able to face the actual or modern challenges.

Abstract

The fruitfulness of pastoral care to the faithful in the parishes is influenced by several factors. One important factor is the managerial leadership of the parish priest, given that he stands at the center of the organization as leader and manager of a parish. This article discusses a study that focuses on the management of pastoral care that affects the fruitfulness of pastoral care in the Trinity Parish in Cengkareng, Jakarta. The results of this study answers the question of how planning, organizing, leading, and controlling affect the leadership of the parish priest and the fruitfulness of pastoral ministry. In this study the identity of the parish priest as displayed through parochial managerial leadership is also questioned. From the research it is concluded that managerial leadership of parish priest gives a considerable contribution to the fruitfulness of pastoral care to the parishioners.
