Abstract

By 2050, it's normal that the total populace will contact 9.2 billion individuals, 34 percent higher than today. A lot of this development will occur in creating nations like India, which has the biggest zone on the planet with arable land for agriculture. To stay aware of rising populaces and wage development, worldwide sustenance generation must increment by 70 percent so as to have the capacity to encourage the world. With help of IoT, control focuses gather and process information continuously to enable ranchers to settle on the best choices as to planting, treating and collecting crops. Sensors set all through the fields are utilized to gauge temperature and stickiness of the dirt and encompassing air. We Propose a Cloud based Irrigation System for better agriculture farming.

Abstract

Engine scanner unit is a tool used by mechanical power to know the condition of car engine combustion at the time of tune up process done. The level of elements and compounds that dominant in determining categories of combustion of gasoline fuel car engines through the levels of elements and compounds contained in exhaust emissions are Hydrocarbons (HC), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Oxygen (O2). Complete combustion category produces maximum power, fuel efficiency and emission levels according to the threshold. This occurs when there is a balance of the amount of fuel, airflow and ignition in the engine combustion chamber. Elements and compounds contained in car exhaust emissions can be detected with sensors that are sensitive to elemental levels and these compounds are HC, CO, CO2, and O2 sensors. This study aims to display the data pattern category of combustion engine through exhaust emissions based on multi sensor detection processed with signal processing system in the form of Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) process. Furthermore, data pattern is performed in accordance with the category of combustion engine detected. The system is designed with embedded system using Field Programable Gate Array (FPGA) myRIO and LabVIEW programming. The results in the test displays the data pattern and the comparison test of the reference data pattern with the data pattern of the detection result. The comparison test result of data pattern similar to 87% complete engine combustion category and similar to incomplete combustion category 90%.

Abstract

Blood is undeniably essential to save lives. The high demand for blood cannot compete with the amount collected through blood donation. In order to cater to the issue, researchers tend to focus more on the donors’ side. Meanwhile, the other party which is the blood bank continues to play its role to increase the blood supply. The blood bank processes blood in four stages: donation, screening, inventory and hospital pickup. This paper aims to address the challenges and issues in the local blood bank through ubiquitous computing, specifically at the blood donation stage. Blood donation is the most critical stage where the blood bank engages directly with the donors. The issues and challenges faced by the blood bank are uncovered by, interviews, field study and literature reviews. The proposed solution takes advantage of the ubiquitous computing concept that enables devices to communicate with each other seamlessly. With the advancement of mobile technology, smartphones become the closest of any devices to achieve ubiquitous computing. Communication technologies like Near Field Communication and Wi-Fi aid the interaction between the user and the system which are expected to solve the challenges and issues of blood donation.

Abstract

Efficient usage of energy resources is a growing concern in today’s communication systems. Energy harvesting is a new paradigm and allows the nodes to recharge their batteries from the environment. In this paper, we focus on the design of optimal linear beamformer for multi- input multi-output (MIMO) simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) system. We formulate the problem of maximizing the information rate while keeping the energy harvested at the energy receivers above given levels. Finally, simulation results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.

Abstract

Illiteracy is an inability to recognize characters, both in order to read and write. It is a significant problem for countries all around the world including Indonesia. In Indonesia, illiteracy rate is generally set as an indicator to see whether or not education in Indonesia is successful. If this problem is not going to be overcome, it will affect people’s prosperity. One system that has been used to overcome this problem is prioritizing the treatment from areas with the highest illiteracy rate and followed by areas with lower illiteracy rate. The method is going to be a way easier to be applied if it is supported by classification process. Since the classification process needs a class, and there has not been any fine classification of illiteracy rate, there is needed a clustering process before classification process. This research is aimed to get optimal number of classes through clustering process and know the result of illiteracy classification process. The clustering process is conducted by using k means algorithm, and for the classification process is conducted by using Naïve Bayes algorithm. The testing method used to assess the success of classification process is 10-fold method. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that the optimal illiteracy classes are three classes with the classification accuracy value of 96.4912% and error rate value of 3.5088%. Whereas the classification with two classes get the accuracy value of 93.8596% and error rate value of 6.1404%. And for the classification with five classes get the accuracy value of 90.3509% and error rate value of 9.6491%.

Abstract

Login is one of the important security features in online banking. This research investigates the mechanism for an existing online banking in Malaysia including the design of the login mechanism, the encryption algorithm used for the password  and the security level of the login mechanism. This research provides a result of analyzing data between five online banking in terms of their security features. These analyzing data will be used for proposing secure password encryption in online banking. The mathematic is used to evaluate the security level for these secure login applications. Output from the mathematical analysis is the probability that the adversary may break the security of login application.

Abstract

Threats and viruses are particularly alarming for children with low immunization levels. Pneumococcal disease is the world's most important cause of child death and has claimed many lives. Since awareness of the dangers of Pneumococcal viruses among parents is low in Malaysia, preventive measures such as vaccine intake cannot be done comprehensively. Hence, in order to communicate information about Pneumococcal disease, a pneumococcal disease diagnosis system for children is developed. This system employs expert system method and apply forward chaining technique for its reasoning. Knowledge base of the system is stored in the database for data management. This alternative system allows access to information as well as early diagnosis of early symptoms can be detected. This system is expected to benefit users in terms of knowledge sharing, and self-checking on their body condition, especially parents, to prevent any possible diseases that may infect children's.

Abstract

Data Mining (DM), used to extract large amounts of hidden, valuable, useful information in large quantities and to provide strategic decision support, has created a new perspective on the use of health data. It has become a rapidly growing method of responding to problematic areas of data in large quantities in almost all sections. Although in health services it seems to be slow, a major leap has come to the scene. The aim of this study is to provide a new perspective on decision-making processes by creating an infrastructure for the health data and to provide examples for healthcare workers in the healthcare industry using DM techniques. Forasmuch as, the conceptual framework of data discovery in databases, Data Warehousing, DM, Business Intelligence (BI) has been given. DM applications and usages are given as examples of priority issues and problem areas in the health sector.

Abstract

Image processing is known as the process of converting an image into a digital form so as to obtain an enhanced image and to extract useful information from it. This paper presents a simple step by step analysis of edges-based lane detection. Some of the known and common edge detection techniques such as Sobel, Canny, Prewitt and Roberts were studied and evaluated using image segmentation, morphology, image statistic and Hough Transform. The result indicated some similarities in the process as well as major differences. These differences were observed to be as a result of the high sensitivity of the edge detector in detecting noise such as cast shadows and unmarked lanes. This could be noticed in the case of canny edge detector. Also these data could be considered in the development of a multi-system edge detector, which could be used to analyze various road scenes and runs the appropriate edge detector best suited for the current situation.
