Reformism is the belief that gradual changes in a society can change its fundamental structures. This belief also has a great influence in the mind o f many Iranian people whose struggle for a change, including the mullahs and politicians that led them changed their face from radical to moderat e in a tremendous movement called “the reform movementâ€. This movement has crystallized since Mohammad Khatami has been elected as the President o fthe Islamic Republic o f Iran in 1997 and this event became the first victory o fth e reform movement. The second victory was obtained by the reformist or the leftist in the 6th parliamentary (Majlis) election in 2000, which strengthened the reform movement. But the scene o f victory now has been turning back into the hands o f the conservative or the rightist. In the 7lh parliamentary election, the rightist who has changed to pragmatic face won the majority o f the Majlis seat. This political change happened because of the disillusioned of Iranian people has frustrated by the leftist due to their failure to bring into reality their reform promises. Therefore, solving the people’s problem will be the big task o f the seventh Majlis, regardless o f which faction forms the majority.

This article discusses the emergence of Nur Alam as local bossism in Southeast Sulawesi. He started his career as an entrepreneur in the New Order era. Reform era and decentralization brought Nur Alam in political world by becoming the declarator of Amanat National Party (PAN) in Southeast Sulawesi, then lead the party and elected as a governor. After Nur Alam lead PAN in Southeast Sulawesi, this party has significant vote in the legislative elections in 2004, 2009 and 2014; was able to win the governor election in 2007 and 2012; and won 10 of 12 local election which took place in 2010 to 2013. During his leadership in Southeast Sulawesi, the economic growth was increased, the poverty rate was decreased, even the quality of physical infrastructure. His position as the leader of PAN as well as the governor in Southeast Sulawesi makes Nur Alam has big influence. He becomes stronger economically and more powerful politically because of his success in conquering his political opposition as well as his ability to collaborate with other local political elites. He also began to utilize the weakness of decentralization regulation by preparing his family as heir to the throne of his power. Keywords: local bossism, decentralization, Southeast Sulawesi.

This paper is to analyze the USA Indonesia relationship in the period ofObama presidency since the relationship between two countries has a very greatpotency and opportunity to be more improvable As we all recognizethat President Obama has a special relation with Indonesia because ofhe lived through his childhood in Indonesiaeventhough there will be no guarantee that will become the main reason in improving better relationship sinceit is related to many political variables As conclusion this paper argues that the prospect of the USA Indonesiarelationship basically depends on how the two countries implement Comprehensive Partnership Agreement as wellas possible and how both sides give serious attention to improve better bilateral relationship
