Abstract

One of the problems in computer network is load balancing. The emergence of Software Defined Network (SDN) architecture is expected to be a new paradigm in addressing issues related to load balancing on traditional networks. The flexibility gained from separation between control plane and data plane on the SDN architecture makes it feasible to develop technologies that hard to implement on traditional networks. In this research, a load balancing algorithm is developed based on the SDN architechture. An SDN controller that is connected to an SDN switch will sends messages to each server based on the specified time interval to get the CPU and memory utilization and response time from each server. Those parameters are used to determine the load of each server. The SDN switch will then split request from client to server with smallest load. Load balancing algorithm's performance will then be compared to similar algorithms on server clusters with same specification (homogeneous) and server clusters with different specifications (heterogeneous). The result found that the proposed algorithm is able to distribute requests from clients to servers based on status of the server and perform better than similar algorithms on server clusters with different spesifications (heterogeneous).

Abstract

Lazada and BukaLapak are e-commerce that have been applying mobile application technology. Lazada and BukaLapak have reting and highest downloader compared to its competitors. But earlier in the year 2017 Lazada has received many complaints in reference to problems of Usability. This research use theory of McCall in which Usability has 3 matrix, namely: Operability, Communicativeness and Training. Operability matrix is to see the extent to which users can operate an application, Communicativeness matrix is to see the suitability of data input with output data seen from the users. Training matrix is to see the extent to which new users can operte application. The research began with the making of instruments, data collection, and continued with the statistical testing. In the making of the instruments the questions are based on the article belong to McCall. Data collection questionnaire used to measure Operability and Communicativeness, whereas the task used to measure Training. Statistical test using independent t test to see a comparison between the Lazada and BukaLapak. From the results of the comparison of the three matrix such that for Operability, Communicativeness and Training there is no difference between BukaLapak and Lazada.

Abstract

Equity in the distribution of subsidized fertilizer has several constraints. Based on a survey of equal distribution of seed and fertilizer subsidy at farmer group of Pandansari Village of Kediri Regency, several equality obstacles are that most farmers have no basis and proper calculation in buying fertilizer subsidy based on nutrition requirement of planted seeds. So that resulted in farmers only buy the type of fertilizer with the same composition when different plant varieties that cause less than maximum yield. Besides also if the composition of fertilizer not in accordance with the varieties then the amount of fertilizer in the warehouse will be shortages and excess. To solve the problem used Genetic Algorithm method. The algorithm parameters used in rice plants are population as much as 220, generation as much as 1100, crossover rate 0,8 and mutation rate 0,2 whereas in corn plant population as much as 320, generation 1250, crossover rate 0,8 and crossover rate 0 , 2. The average percentage difference in value generated by genetic algorithm and fertilizer in warehouses on rice plant is 9,873% while in corn plants yield difference of mean percentage between fertilizer in warehouse and genetic algorithm equal to 24,882%. Solution The composition of fertilizers produced by genetic algorithms can be ascertained that the nutrients needed by plants are met so that the yield can increase.

Abstract

PT.PLN APD Jatim is an organization of PT.PLN Distribution Jatim who served as a controller of distribution. This makes PLN APD Jatim has a lot of data to managed, so that need monitoring of the system such as the dashboard. The current dashboard is still less from interface side and does not match with needs of the user seen from Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Therefore, this research discusses about evaluation and usability improvement on dashboard PT.PLN (Persero) APD Jatim oriented human centered design and key performance indicators. Information gathering such as problem identification and usage context are obtained using interview method and system viewing for dig up information in more detail. Then for the framework of improvement, this research using Human Centered Design (HCD) because at each step of the research involves the user. The dashboard prototype was evaluated using a system usability survey and measured by System Usability Scale (SUS). SUS aims to generate the value of system usability. SUS is suitable for use because it can measure system using the minimal responden and can apply extensively. The evaluation results state that the solution design is good enough and according to needs of user so that no such repair.

Abstract

Insanity is the most common disease. One of insanity is schizophrenia. The process of diagnosis of schizophrenia is difficult, because there is no specific characteristic of behavior or appearance for the sufferer, some sufferer can behave and look like normal people and expensive treatment. It will make the patient's condition worse. To resolve this issue, this can be done with schizophrenia classification using support vector machine (SVM) algorithm. In this study there are 75 data that is divided into two types of schizophrenia, that is paranoid and simplex. The method in this study using support vector machine algorithm, wich to the category of good classification method, provides a statistical approach in pattern recognition, and is a linear method, but SVM provides kernel trick, which can solve problems related to non-linear classification. The result obtained using SVM 100% accuracy using ratio data 90%:10%, gamma = 0,00001, lambda = 3, C = 0,01, kernel polynomial of degree, maximum iteration is 1000.

Abstract

One of the advantages of investing in stocks is capital gains, which is the benefits from stock trading. The use of stock price forecasting will increase profits from stock sale and purchase transactions because shareholders can know when the right time to sell or buy a particular stock. Support Vector Regression (SVR) is one of the methods used for forecasting, it can recognize patterns of time series data and can provide good forecasting results when the parameters of importance can be determined well as well. So we need an optimization method to determine SVR parameters so that SVR can be optimally applied in stock price forecasting. One of the optimization algorithms that can be used is Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). Stock price forecasting using SVR with PSO optimization uses MAPE method to evaluate forecasting results. Based on the test that has been done, the value of MAPE obtained is 0.8195% with fitness of 0.5496 with the optimal parameters obtained is the number of particles 40, iteration PSO 40, iteration SVR 1000, parameter range of C 100 - 500, the parameter range of ɛ 0, 0001 - 0,001, parameter range of σ 0,001 - 2, parameter range of γ 0,00001 - 0,001, parameter range of λ 0,001 - 0,1, and comparison of training data and test data from 2016 BCA Bank share data is 90%: 10%.

Abstract

Fertilization is one way to increase palm oil production. With such a crucial role, then an efficient usage of fertilizer could cut down production cost significantly. In order to ensure an efficient fertilization, a thorough analysis on plant's fertilizer needs along with looking after harvest results. Area analysis is possibly done by utilizing WebGIS-based GIS software which is easy to operate using precision farming approach in order to run in a long term. First step is to visualize palm oil plantation using processed image data in order to supervise, analyze, and plantation and ensure continuous production. Next, determining attribute data to analyze the need of fertilizer and match it with palm oil plant fertilization age table. It is expected that the result of this research could be of help for companies to know plant's exact and proper need of fertilizer in order to save cost and continuous increase in production that will meet harvest dates.

Abstract

Malang City is one of the most potential city for tourism destination in Indonesia. Therefore, it's nessescarry for Malang to have varios promotional media for tourism. In effort to invite the tourists to visit Malang city requires variety of media campaigns and one of the alternative media is a media campaign games form. Malang City Tour game is one kind of that media which take form as game. Through this game, player can get information about tourism destination, tour budget, as well as common knowledge about Malang by taking quiz. Malang City Tour is created by applying MDA Framework. This framework consist of mechanic which is rules and algorithm made by game designer to build the game. If mechanics work well, it'll build a dynamics, which is interaction between mechanics and player. This dynamics then automatically created aesthethics of player's responeses to dynamics. This game then tested using playtesting. Result shows that this game is well-functioned and has reached it aim whis is giving useful information about Malang's tourism to the player.

Abstract

Determination of the selection of food crops in a suitable land planted based on the condition (criteria) of land is needed as a support decision-making. There are 12 criteria assessed such as temperature, rainfall, humidity, drainage, texture, soil depth, peat thickness, ph h2o, salinity, alkalinity, sulfidic depth and slope. The large number of criteria and the level of importance of different criteria make it difficult to reach a decision. Computer System using Decision (SPK) can be used as a tool to give the decision of suitable plants planted in a land easily, quickly and accurately. The Promethee method is one of the methods involved in solving Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problems. The results of ranking in this system are influenced by the choice of preference type and the determination of the threshold inserted into the Decision Support System which will be able to overcome the problem to be able to determine the suitable plant to be planted in a field. So the result of system decision giving accuracy compared with actual decision reached 89,2% by using 28 data. With high accuracy it can be said that the Promethee Method successfully meets the needs of determining the selection of plants on a land based on soil conditions.

Abstract

The application of Wi-Fi networks is getting easier, even now it can be found on some public transport. So it is not impossible if applied to passenger trains. However, the implementation of passenger trains may be confronted by several issues such as coverage area (railway) which is made of iron and steel. As in previous research, observing railway propagation losses is important because it affects signal strength (We, Ito, Yokoyama, Tseng, Sagawa, Ogasawara) and based on research on wifi network optimization in the recovery room there are several aspects that need Be considered as aspect of propagation, and coverage area aspect. (Widyaningsih, 2013) Therefore it is necessary to observe and calculate the appropriate, so as to produce an effective design. Up to the furthest distance of 21 meters the Link Budget calculator the RSL value is -43 dBm and SOM is 51 dB, with the value known that the radiated signal can spread well. And for the calculation of the number of Access Point based on the reach of the Access Point and the capacity of the client obtained at least 3 Access Point that can meet the needs in passenger trains. And from the application of the simulation with the placement of 3 Access Point, with a maximum transmit power of 18 dBm and also the application of different channels, has resulted in an average value of RSSI -35 dBm to -55 dBm, which with the value of signal characteristics interpreted in very good (Excellent).
