Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain the process of improving the implementation of learning mathematics through Learning Model Team Games Tournament ( TGT ) to increase interest and class III student achievement MI Muhammadiyah Ngadipuro 1 Dukun, Magelang . The research was conducted in the form of action research that consists of two cycles. Subjects were grade III and this is the object of interest and study mathematics achievement through learning models Team Games Tournament. Data collection techniques using interest questionnaire sheet, observation sheets interests and achievement tests. Test instrument covering the validity and reliability testing. From the research that has been done shows as follows. First cycle test results indicate an improvement when compared with the initial values of students. The average initial value was 49.7 students increased to 57.5. Second cycle test results indicate an improvement when compared to the test cycle I. The average value of the first cycle is 57.5 increased to 67.5. It can be concluded that the interests and achievements of students studying mathematics class III MIM Ngadipuro 1 Dukun, Magelang increased .

Abstract

The purposes of this research were (1) descriptively that to find out considers discipline of students, learning motivation, and  learning method (2) correlationally which was to know relationship among discipline of students, learning motivation, and learning method with students mathematic achievement to eight grade student’s of Junior High School in Piyungan district on 2013/2014 academic year. This research is ex post facto. The population of this research was all students of class VIII in Piyungan district on 2013/2014 academic year with sample size was 112 students. The sampling technique use was cluster random sampling. The techniques of collecting data use questionnaire and test. The techniques of analyzing data applied were regression and correlation analysis. Before that, the testing of precondition analysis used which normality, linearity, multicolinierity analyses. The result of research shows descriptively it considers discipline of students in very high category, considers learning motivation in high category, considers learning method in high category, considers students mathematic achievement in high category. While correlatively that there were positive relationship and significant among discipline of students, learning motivation, learning method with students mathematic achievement with grouply or separately

Abstract

The research purposes to increases interest and mathematics achievement with Joyful Learning method in class VII G SMP Negeri 2 Sanden. The research subjects were students of class VII G SMP Negeri 2 Sanden and object of this research were interests and mathematics achievement. The results showed that interest and mathematics achievement increase. The results can be seen from questionnaire data pre-term by 62.88% with moderate category, increased to 69.16% with the moderate category in first term. Then increased again to 78.01% in second term with the high category. The results of mathematics achievement obtained from test, with percentage completeness obtained pre-term 16.67% with an average of 56.07. In first term increased to 63.33% with an average of 69.02 and in second term increased to 80% with average value of 80.67.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal   matematika materi persamaan garis lurus berdasarkan Analisis Newman yaitu (1) kesalahan membaca soal, (2) kesalahan memahami soal, (3) kesalahan transformasi, (4) kesalahan ketrampilan proses, (5) kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir dan untuk mengetahui kesalahan apa yang paling banyak dilakukan siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa analisis kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika materi persamaan garis lurus berasarkan Analisis Newman pada siswa kelas VIII SMP N 1 Gedangsari yaitu kesalahan membaca soal sebesar 5%, kesalahan memahami soal sebesar 46,4%, kesalahan transformasi sebesar 63,6%, kesalahan ketrampilan proses sebesar 74,8%  kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir sebesar 87,9% dan kesalahan paling banyak dilakukan siswa pada kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir sebesar 87,9%.

Abstract

The purpose the research to improve the activity and achievement of learning mathematics with the Talking Stick method in class VII F SMP N 2 Srandakan. The type of this research is a classroom action research. The subject of the research are the students grade VII F SMP N 2 Srandakan it consists of 24 students. The object of this research is activity and achievement of learning mathematics with the Talking Stick method. The result of the study shows that after this learning model, students’ activity and achievement has an increase. Students’ activity has increase in pre cycle from 56,25% become 64,93% and an increase in cycle II become 72,92%. Beside that the subjection average of students achievement has an increase in pre cycle shows 53,43 with Minimum Completenes Criteria ‘KKM’ is 12,5% consists of 3 students. In cycle I has an increase become 66,94 with KKM is 41,67% consist of 10 students where as in cycle II shows the increasa become 82,54 with KKM is 75% consist of 18 students. In pre cycle to cycle I there are 2 students whose value is fixed and the 22 students has increased. Then in cycle I to cycle II there are 1 student whose value is fixed  and the 23 students has increased.

Abstract

The descriptive objectives of this research are (1) determine the trend of interesting in learning, facilities, students perception to teachers ability and mathematics achievement, (2) determine the correlation between interesting in learning, facilities, students perception to teachers ability and mathematics achievement from all variables also each variable. This is ex post facto research. The population are the seven grade of Junior High School student in Kasihan Bantul. The sample are taken with cluster random sampling. The data are obtained through test and questionnaire. The requirements analysis are normality tes, linierity tes and multikolinierity tes. The analysis of data used multiple regression analysis to determine the correlation for all variables and partial correlation analysis to determine the correlation for each variable. The result showed that the trend of interesting in learning, facilities, students perception to teachers ability is very high category and mathematics achievement high category. The result show that the value of R = 0,498, R2 = 0,248 with Fobserve = 13,068 and sign = 0,000 < 0,05, means there is a possitive and significant correlation between interesting in learning, facilities, students perception to teachers ability and mathematics achievement.

Abstract

Cooperative script method is one  method to improve student’s interest in learning and students' achievement. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subject of the research is eight  grade students of Junior high school Binangun Cilacap. It is conducted in two cycles, each cycles consists of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The data revealed from observation, questionnaire, test and documentation. The result of the research was there are increasing student interest and students' achievement. This forum can be teachers' reflection to be much better in mathematic teaching and learning.

Abstract

Descriptively, the purpose of this research is to know the tendency of creativity, numerical ability, the students’attitude in mathematics and achievement of the students. Correlatively, the purpose is to determine the relationship between creativity, numerical ability, the students’attitude in mathematics with the achievement matematics of the students. The population of this study was all students of VIII of Junior High School in Pundong district on 2013/2014 academic year. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The results of this descriptive study showed that the tendency category of creativity in medium, numerical ability in high, the students’attitude in mathematics in medium and achievement of the students in high. Correlatively, it show R=0,899 its means that there is positive and significant relationship between creativity, numerical ability and the students’attitude in mathematics  with the achievement matematics of the students.

Abstract

This research aims to know the information abaut the  tendency of self efficacy, motivation, procrastination academic, and mathematics learning  achievement of student VIII grade SMP in subdistrict Kraton Yogyakarta and to determine the relationship of self efficacy, motivation, procrastination academic with mathematics learning achievement of student VIII grade SMP in subdistrict Kraton Yogyakarta either partially or simultaneously. This research was ex post facto. The population of this research were students VIII grade SMP in subdistrict Kraton Yogyakarta of 360 students.  The research sample of 90 students was taken by proportional random sampling. Analysis using descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. The result of the data analysis in this research are : 1) self efficacy was medium; 2) motivation was high; 3) procrastination academic was medium; 4) mathematics learning achievement was medium; 5) simultaneously there was positive relationship between self efficacy and motivation also negative relationship between procrastination academic with mathematics learning achievement ( ; 6) there was positive relationship between self efficacy with mathematics learning achievement ; 7) there was positive relationship between motivation with mathematics learning achievement ; 8) there was negative between procrastination academic with mathematics learning achievement .

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to describe (1)) learning process by using Who Want To Be a Star Class to improve students’ learning achievement of mathematics and (2) learning process by using Who Want To Be A Star Class to improve students’ independence in learning mathematics This study reports that (1) there was an average score improvement 63.33 in pre cycle and 67.27 in cycle with the percentage 40%. There was an average score improvement from 63.33 in cycle I and 72.8 in cycle II with the interval score between 75 – 100. Based on the results of analysis, the average score of cycle II was 74 with the percentage 66.67%. (2) Based on the results of analysis, there were 8 respondents in high category (26.67%), 8 respondents in enough category (26.67%), and 14 respondents in low category (46.66%). It could be concluded that the students’ learning independence in cycle I was in low category (46.66%). In cycle II, there were 14 respondents in high category (46.67%), 12 respondents in enough category (40%), and 4 respondents in low category (13.33%). It could be concluded that the students’ learning independence in cycle I was in high category (46.67%). It could be concluded that the students’ learning independence in cycle II was in high category (46.67%). So, successful indicator had been reached out.
