Abstract

The human resources capacity of Bali tourism is abundant, but in its management is still very far behind with neighboring countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, and other countries. This is due to the level of education that is still at the level of standards and facilities that are inadequate, resulting in a standard quality of tourism workforce, increased unemployment, decreased productivity, and less competitiveness in the face of competition among tourism workers in the ASEAN region and internationally. Indonesia with the other nine ASEAN member countries have signed the blueprint declaration of the ASEAN Economic Community to initiate an economic integration step. This makes Bali must strive to improve the quality of tourism human resources as well as enhance the competitiveness of tourism workforce in order to survive in the era of ASEAN free trade and globalization of the international labor market. Bali, in particular, should be able to focus and care about the problem of tourism work and immediately clean up to create a conducive climate to accelerate the movement of economic growth through tourism human resources. This can be done by improving education, improving health, conducting training and developing tourism workforce, providing adequate facilities, improving the labor structure, will encourage the quality of Bali tourism workforce to improve. If a country has the competitiveness and is able to compete in the regional and global arena then it can be assured that the tourism worker is able to achieve standardization and have a good reputation and will certainly increase the national tourism human resource index.

Abstract

The objective of the work is to identify the most preeminent elements of resilience in the face of disability at the Technical University of Manabí. To do this, a wide-ranging exploration and bibliographical study was carried out, which allowed us to return to the criteria addressed by several authors recognized internationally in the study of resilience and especially those of the Latin American area. The work deals with contemporary contextual aspects that may be favorable to the psychosocial approach to resilience. The article is based on research based on the qualitative interpretative paradigm. The theoretical referents were consigned from the bibliographic review, to compare them with the empirical phase that allowed interpreting the individual representations of disabled youth about resilience. The results of the research show that resilience is widely known, although an important bias is maintained in its representation related to a more individual than the social view, which could limit its influence as a pedagogical factor.

Abstract

The objective of the work is to establish the characterization of the auditory disability and its relationship with resilience at the Technical University of Manabí. The article shows a conceptual analysis related to the inclusion and social integration of disabled students. Based on the fact that the person with disabilities grows and develops in the same way as that of people without disabilities and what usually happens is that disabled people are rejected and discriminated against based on a prefabricated and erroneous conceptualization of these people. The results associated with the application of the SV-RES test prepared by the researchers are shown (Saavedra & Villalta, 2008b). Characterization of the auditory deficit is made in the students, and the limitations that derive from it are pointed out. We analyze the particularities related to communication with students who have a hearing disability and resilience in this type of student, where some personal highlights that in this sense constitute an example of resilience. Finally, the results related to the study of the relationship between students hearing disability and the level of resilience dimensions are shown.
