Abstract

The purpose of health development is essentially to realize a healthy Indonesia, which is an ability to reach quality health services, fair and equitable for all Indonesian. The low performance of health center in health service in Central Sulawesi is basically caused by several factors: lack of adequate health center, lack of motivation and dedication of staff. The present research aims to find out the relationship between work motivations of health worker toward achievement of target of its basic program. This was an observational analytic research to find out the relationship between variables quantitatively without giving intervention to variables be studied with cross sectional method. The location of the research was public health center in Sojol district. Sampling is carried out by using total sampling. Population of the research includes 40 health officers at Balukang and Tonggolobibi public health center. Based on the results with chi-square test, the value of p = 0.025 (p ≤ 0.05) indicates that there is a statistically significant correlation between work motivation of health worker and the achievement of basic program target of health center in Sojol. Abstract

Iodine is one of the essential micro minerals needed by human body in small amounts. As a result of iodine deficiency disorder is often found in mountainous areas, deficiency of iodine in the body provide hypothyroidisim conditions by increasing thyroid tissue. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between the behavior of housewives about the availability of iodized salt. This type of research is analytic observational with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all family heads in the Taninin Village area, Takari District, Kupang Regency, NTT Province, Indonesia. The sample size studied was 85 families selected randomly. Independent variables in this study are: 1) housewife behavior which includes: knowledge, attitudes, actions related to the use of iodized salt, 2) family income. While the dependent variable is the availability of iodized salt in the household. Data was collected through filling out questionnaires. The data that has been collected is categorical so that it is presented in the form of frequencies equipped with percentages. Further hypothesis testing using Chi square test for the first stage and continued with multiple logistic regression tests for the second stage. Referring to the logistic regression model produced, the factors that influence the availability of iodized salt in the household are maternal knowledge. The probability of availability of iodized salt due to maternal knowledge is 2.107, which means that 1 time the increase in the respondent's knowledge of iodized salt will increase the availability of iodized salt by 2.1 times greaterKeywords: Knowledge, Iodized salt

Abstract

Background: Family planning was one of the efforts for achieving prosperity by providing advice on marriage, infertility treatment, and birth spacing. The Family Planning Method of injectionhad become part of National Family Planning Movement and its interest grew more and more. The purpose of this research was in order to know the influence between the use of Family Planning of progestin injection and combination injection against weight gain. Methods: This type of research was analytical research with case control design. The populations of this research were Family Planning acceptor who had progestin injection and combination injection at Public Health Center of Poned Panekan, Magetan, Indonesia. The samples were 210 people by cluster random sampling technique. Data analysis utilized Paired T-Test and Linear Regression with probability 0.05. Results: Paired TTest analysis result was obtained p = 0.000 (<0.05), which meant that there was a significant difference between body weight before and after. The result of linear regression analysis showed that there was a significant influence between age and body weight before, which had p = 0.000 (p <0.05), body weight after in Family Planning, which had p = 0.000 (p <0.05), and no long-term effect of Family Planning to body weight after, which had p = 0.58 (p> 0.05). Conclusion: there was a significant influence between age and Family Planning of injection against the acceptor’s weight gain. Moreover, the progestin injection acceptor’s weight gain was greater rather than combination injection acceptor. Keywords: Weight gain, Progestin cntraceptive, Combine contraceptive
