International Journal IhyaUlum al-Din is an Indonesian journal of Islamic Studies published biannually by the State Islamic University (UIN) Walisongo Semarang Indonesia. The journal was firstly published in March 2000, presented in three languages (English, Arabic, and Indonesian). The journal focuses on Islamic studies with special emphasis on Indonesian Islamic original researches.

Islam has comprehensive roles in some aspects of human activity. It enlarged from theological aspect to political aspects. Some former colonized countries where Islam was coexisted, this religion became an embryo of nationalist movements during colonization era. This essay scrutinizes the role of Islam in escalating nationalism during colonization era and it relation with the states in post colonization era in four former colonized countries namely Brunei Darussalam, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia. By using comparative method, the essay researched some main literature (library research) related to Islam and nationalism. It was founded that Islam has significant roles in nationalist movement in the four analyzed countries through several channels. Meanwhile, in the post-independence era, the relation between Islam and state system are variably. In India, Islam is separated from state system (secular). In contrast, Islamic ideology became the main sources of state system in Brunei Darussalam (adopted entirely) and Malaysia (adopted partially). Then, Islam in Indonesia seems like “a gray zone†because the country does not using Islamic law but still adopting Islamic thoughts in several cases.Â

Penelitian ini mengkaji dasar-dasar falsafah hidup Ulun Lampung, korelasinya dengan nilai keagamaan dalam Islam, dan hirarkinya dalam teori nilai. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dalam bidang filsafat. Populasi penelitian ini adalah akademisi UIN Raden Intan Lampung, dalam pengambilan sampel dengan metode purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari wawancara mendalam dan data-data pustaka, dan analisis data menggunakan kaidah-kaidah ke filsafatan dan dalam mengambil kesimpulan digunakan metode lingkaran hermeneutika. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa: (1) Falsafah hidup Ulun Lampung sering disebut dengan Piil pesenggiri dan unsur-unsurnya yaitu : (a) Bejuluk Adok, (b) Nemui Nyimah, (c) Nengah Nyapur dan, (d) Sakai Sambayan. (2) Falsafah hidup Ulun Lampung tersebut mengandung nilai filosofi: ketuhanan, kemanusiaan, keadilan, persatuan, kerakyatan, kebijaksanaan. Filosofi tersebut terdapat nilai-nilai yang parallel dengan nilai-nilai relegiusitas Islam yang berakar pada Al-Qur’an dan As Sunnah. (3) Nilai religius Islam yang terdapat pada falsafah hidup Ulun Lampung adalah pada tataran hirarki tertinggi.

The trend of conventional economic in emerging countries raises problems in other sectors with systematic. This results in inconsistencies with the main objectives of carrying out economic activities. Economic goals are not only oriented towards wealth, but also protect the living ecosystem (hifdzu-n-nafsi) and also protect offspring (hifdzu-n-nasli). Fundamental corrections are needed to find new ways of economic development. Green economy as a new way to solve economic problems applying Maqashid Shariah. Green economy through Maqashid Shariah focuses on 3 concepts: 1) the quality of economic growth, 2) environmental efficiency, and 3) social growth. As a paradigm that is able to maintain sustainable ecosystems in achieving social economic growth by supporting welfare improvement. Urban farming is becoming a new path of discovery to develop the prosperity of implementing a green economy in Indonesia. Urban farming is an industrial cycle that produces, processes and sells food and energy to meet the needs of city consumers. All activities are carried out by the method of using and reusing natural resources and urban waste. Besides fulfilling the basic needs of every family that is the basis of a measure of money, urban farming is needed to get money with other household needs. The idea of returning to nature shows that urban agriculture is able to meet economic quality growth targets, save energy and social interaction in accordance with Islamic economic principles.

The development of information technology has an impact on the spread of false news, false data, and hate speech, which is difficult to control. Truth mixed with badness will be ambiguous and biased. This is the most visible symptom or symptom of the post-truth era. In this context, the concept of hifẓ al-‘aql in the maqÄá¹£id syarÄ«'ah can be used as a solution to deal with the negative symptoms above. This research is focused on how far the concept of hifẓ al-qaql can be used as an information filter. The data's research is library research. The data collection method uses the documentation method, which is: collecting, then analyzing the data collected. After that, data analysis is carried out by means of data reduction, presentation of data in narrative form, and concluding. This study concludes that the concept of hifẓ al-‘aql can be extended to mental and intellectual functions. The meaning of hifẓ al-‘aql is expanded by making reason as a guide, and controller for rationality (‘aqlaniyah). This expansion of meaning emphasizes that filtering information before it is conveyed to others is a must, and worthy of worship. Vice versa, the spread of news and hate speech received without verification is an action that is contrary to the principle of hifẓ al-qaql, prohibited acts, and has syar'i consequences.Â

Kendati secara yuridis-formal keberadaan Hukum Pidana Islam telah menjadi sub-sistem hukum nasional, namun upaya transformasinya masih menjadi isu kontroversial. Diakui, rumusan bentuk-bentuk hukuman dalam pidana Islam hingga saat ini masih menjadi medan perdebatan di kalangan ahli. Hal ini beerimbas pada sulitnya transformasi hukum pidana Islamke dalam Hukum Pidana Nasional. Paper ini hendak mencari jawaban dari pertanyaan: (1) Mengapa eksistensi Hukum Pidana Islam sulit ditransformasikan ke dalam HPN? (2) bagaimana peta perdebatan teori di kalangan ahli tentang Hukum Pidana Islam di Indonesia? Dan (3) bagaimana pendekatan tepat kaitanya dengan basis filosofis dalam transformasi hukum pidana Nasional? Tulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan normatif-filosofis. Penulis menggunakan unsur-unsur metodis umum seperti deduktif-induktif dan refleksi kritis pribadi dalam menganalisis. Pada akhir paper ini dirumuskan beberapa kesimpulan: (1) Terdapat sejumlah variabel yang menjadi hambatan transformasi pidana Islam ke hukum nasional yaitu: budaya, sosial dan problem keilmuan yang belum selesai di kalangan ahli terkait hukuman-hukuman pasti dalam pidana Islam. (2) Secara keilmuan para ahli dalam memandang materi hukum pidana Islam terdiametral dalam dua kutub. Sebagian memandang hukum pidana Islam dengan beberapa bentuk pidanya bersifat pasti dan sakral dengan demikian ia konstan dan sebagian lagi memandang rumusan pidana Islam merupakan entitas yang terbuka dengan pembaruan; (3) Metode yang tepat dalam memformalkan pidana Islam adalah dengan “membangun ulang†rumusan keilmuan pidana Islam yang berkarakterkan keindonesiaan dan pada saat yang sama harus memanfaatkan nalar kritis yang meniscayakan pelibatan akal publik dan pendekatan multidisipliner sehingga ia menjadi relevan untuk menjadi hukum nasional.Â

Masyarakat Indonesia dikatakan multikultural karena konsep ini mengedepankan budaya. Sehingga ketika mendengar istilah Islam Nusantara, maka akan berkaitan dengan pluralitas. Dalam Islam Nusantara, budaya merupakan bagian dari agama, di mana awal mula Islam dapat dengan mudah diterima di Indonesia salah satunya melalui akulturasi budaya, sehingga agama Islam terkesan merakyat dengan masyarakat Indonesia. Dalam pluralitas dan keberagamaan antara umat dan bangsa- bangsa dalam kerangka kesatuan manusia, filsafat ini mencetak peradaban Islam dengan ciri yang moderat, menyelaraskan antara kekhasan individual yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing umat dan bangsa, dengan keutamaan atau keburukan yang terjadi pada semua umat dan bangsa. Maka yang terjadi kemudian adalah rasa bangga terhadap kekhasan dan keutamaan yang dimiliki tanpa mengingkari kekhasan dan kelebihan yang lain. Sikap ini tampak dalam peradaban Islam.
