Abstract

This study aims to analyze the runway length, thickness, and pavement bearing capacity in existing conditions to serve critical aircraft operations, especially B737-900 aircraft and its development to serve wide-body aircraft A330-300 for the next 10 years. The method used to analyze the runway pavement thickness uses FAARFIELD software and pavement bearing capacity uses COMFAA software. The quadratic trend forecasting method is used to project the number of passengers for the next 10 years based on data from 2015 to 2024. The results of the study indicate that the existing runway length of 2,750 meters is still capable of serving B737-900 aircraft operations, while the planned Airbus A330-300 aircraft requires a corrected runway length of 3,400 meters with a width of 45 meters. The results of the pavement structure evaluation using FAARFIELD show that although the existing pavement still has a structural contribution, the structural capacity is not sufficient to serve the operation of the wide-body aircraft type Airbus A330-300. Therefore, the addition of a pavement layer (overlay) is needed to increase the bearing capacity of the pavement so that it meets the operational requirements of the planned aircraft. However, the results of the analysis using COMFAA show that the PCN value of the existing pavement of 55/F/C/W/T does not meet the operational needs of the Airbus A330-300 aircraft which has an ACN value of 72.6.

Abstract

This study develops a battery-charging system for a stationary bicycle as an alternative renewable micro-energy solution by converting the user’s pedaling motion into electrical power. The primary objective is to enhance charging efficiency through the implementation of the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm to regulate the PWM signal generated by an Arduino-based controller. The research method includes mechanical and electronic design, integration of current and voltage sensors, implementation of a buck-boost converter, development of the PSO algorithm, and performance testing of the prototype. System evaluation was carried out by comparing the performance before and after applying PSO using parameters such as voltage, current, output power, efficiency, and MAPE error. The results show a significant improvement, including a 36.5% increase in output power, efficiency improvement from 23% to 31.5%, and a reduction in MAPE error from 9.4% to 4.1%. The PSO algorithm effectively adjusts the PWM duty cycle in response to variations in load and generator speed, resulting in a more stable, adaptive, and efficient charging process.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of informal social capital in shaping the efficiency of local rural markets in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach based on institutional economics and economic sociology, the research shows that trust, customary norms, and informal social networks function as alternative institutions that lower transaction costs and support market stability. However, informal social capital is also ambivalent because it operates within customary structures and unequal gender relations, creating economic exclusion, particularly for women. These findings confirm that rural market efficiency is contextual and social, and requires a sensitive integration of informal institutions and formal market mechanisms.

Abstract

The application of land application as a palm oil mill effluent (POME) management method aims to reduce environmental pollution while improving soil fertility. However, this practice has the potential to affect groundwater and surface water quality in the surrounding area. This study aims to analyze groundwater and surface water quality in the land application area of PT. X, Muaro Jambi Regency, and to evaluate its compliance with environmental quality standards. A descriptive quantitative method was employed by collecting wastewater samples at the WWTP outlet, surface water samples from the Sekawan River (upstream and downstream), and groundwater samples from monitoring and control wells. The analyzed parameters included pH, BOD, COD, TSS, and ammonia (NH₃). The results indicate that the wastewater quality at the WWTP outlet meets the applicable standards. However, groundwater and surface water around the land application area show a tendency toward increased BOD, COD, TSS, and ammonia levels, although most values remain below the permissible limits according to Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021. These findings indicate that land application activities may influence water quality and therefore require continuous environmental management and monitoring.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the causes of the low availability value of the Siebler 1 machine at PT Kimia Farma using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) approach. The research method employed is descriptive quantitative, utilizing machine operational data from January to October 2025. The three main components of OEE—availability, performance, and quality were calculated and analyzed to identify the factors that most significantly affect machine effectiveness. The results indicate that the average OEE value of the Siebler 1 machine is 37.68%, which is far below the industrial effectiveness standard of 85%. Availability is identified as the main contributor to the low OEE, with an average value of only 53.40%, caused by high downtime resulting from mechanical failures in the feeder and heating unit, as well as inconsistent implementation of preventive maintenance. Meanwhile, the performance and quality components have average values of 69.08% and 99.3%, respectively, indicating that product quality is not the primary issue. Based on the fishbone diagram analysis, the main causes of low effectiveness stem from machine-related factors and work methods, leading to increased unplanned downtime.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Critical Success Factors of green finance in the development of Smart City infrastructure in Indonesia. The research was conducted through data processing and analysis of six main variables, namely public literacy, macroeconomic conditions, environmentally friendly investment, operations, risk management, and regulation. The results indicate that, simultaneously, all variables have a significant effect on the impact of green finance implementation on Smart City development in Indonesia. Partially, macroeconomic conditions, environmentally friendly investment, and risk management have a significant influence on the impact of green finance implementation, while regulation, public literacy, and operational factors do not show a significant effect. Environmentally friendly investment is the most dominant factor, as indicated by the highest positive regression coefficient compared to other variables. These findings highlight that increasing environmentally friendly investment provides the greatest and most tangible contribution to the successful development of sustainable Smart City infrastructure in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study assesses horticulture farmers' perceptions of extension workers' performance and formulates improvement strategies via SWOT analysis. Conducted in three major horticultural hubs—Garung, Kertek, and Kalikajar subdistricts—82 organized farmer group members participated. Purposive sampling targeted high-production areas with active farmer institutions. Data came from Likert-scale questionnaires evaluating three aspects: preparation, implementation, and evaluation/reporting of extension activities. SWOT analysis identified internal (IFAS) and external (EFAS) factors. Findings reveal positive perceptions across all aspects: 93.90% rated preparation good (index 70.96%); 82.93% rated implementation good (69.30%); and 98.78% rated evaluation/reporting good (70.96%). Chi-Square tests confirmed no significant influence from respondent traits (age, gender, education, farming experience) on perceptions. IFAS-EFAS scores showed a strength-weakness differential of 1.008 and opportunity-threat differential of 1.060, placing strategies in Quadrant I (Aggressive/SO). Recommendations emphasize leveraging strengths for opportunities: bolstering technical competencies, optimizing IT use, developing flagship programs, and strengthening ties with local governments and stakeholders.
