Abstract

This study aims to determine the response of soybean farmers toward the price and climate fluctuations in Yogyakarta Special Region. The study uses secondary data time series for 20 years (1992-2011) and is analyzed using a model of supply response. The results show that the increase in soybean prices in year y-1 and the increase in rainfall in year y-1 influenced significantly in reducing the planting area of soybeans in year y. Whereas, the price of peanuts in year y-1 did not influenced significantly to the planting area of soybeans in year y. From these results it can beconcluded that the increased price in soybeans is not an incentive for farmers to increase production. Rainfall will be a consideration for farmers to increase or decrease the planting area of soybeans and peanuts are not the competitor commodity for soybeans in fighting over land.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to analyze performance and role of agricultural sector and subsector in economic development of Blora regency. This research used secondary data. The analysis method are descriptive and Klassen Typology Approach. The results of this research shows that performance of the agricultural sector in Blora regency during the 2005-2009 views that agricultural sector gives the largest average contribution (53.99%) among other economic sectors, but the growth rate ranks seventh among nine economic sectors in Blora regency with anaverage growth rate of 4.26%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of household income and the influential variables, determine the level of household food security and standard MIC Upper Solo watershed residents, and to know the pattern of income sources based on farm household income. The study was conducted in the watershed Keduang, covers the districts of: Girimarto, Jatipurno, Jatiroto, Jatisrono, Ngadirojo, Nguntoronadi, Sidoharjo, Slogohimo, and Winton. From each sub-sample is taken of the village passed Keduang watershed streams. From each village is taken 10 samples of poor households and 10 not households.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manfaat penerapan teknologi ekologis yang disampaikan melalui pelatihan pengendalian hama terpadu, dan menghitung insentif ekonomi, kesehatan dan lingkungan. Studi ini memilih wilayah Jawa Tengah, sebaran pelatiha sudah merata. Penelitian ini menggunakan model analisis yang menunjukkan bahwa teknologi tidak hanya berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas total, tetapi juga berpengaruh terhadap elastisitas input.

Abstract

Access to reliable irrigation water can make farmers use new technologies and intensify land management, which leads to increase productivity, production of paddy, rice farm income and employment opportunities in the paddy fields. This study aims to: (1) analyze factors that influence rice production; (2) analyze factors that influence rice farm income; (3) analyze factors that influence rice farm labor. The experiment was conducted in the District of Parigi Moutong which is purposivelydetermined by consideration that the number of irrigated area in there is quite wide, but rice farm income still relatively low. The respondents in this study were 100 respondents taken from two irrigation conditions namely good irrigation (58 farm households) and damaged irrigation (42 farm households). The data analyzed by using the model of Two Stage Least Square (2SLS).

Abstract

Integrated Crops Management Field School (ICM-FS) of Paddy is a strategic programfrom Ministry of Agriculture. ICM-FS is designed to accelerate ICM to the farmer. ICM-FS has been held at Bangka Belitung since 2009. Some of strategic are needed to be formulate, in order to develop this program. The experiment was conducted in March - August 2011. The location of this experiment was choosen purposively at South Bangka and Central Bangka. The experiment was conducted with the survey approach. Respondents were selected by purposive random sampling consisting of ICM-FS participating farmers, farmer cooperators, agricultural extension and related agencies.

Abstract

The objective of research is to study the value chain and efficiency of jamur kuping (wood ear or cloud ear mushroom) agribusiness in Karanganyar Regency of Central Java. The data collection was conducted with interview technique, using questionnaire prepared previously. Meanwhile the sample was taken using non-probabilistic technique with seeder as the entry point that was investigated using snowball system to obtain the sample from the next point to the consumer. From this technique, 47 samples were obtained consisting: 2 seeders (the one who cultivate the seed), 12 bagloger, 21 farmers, 12 traders with varied level.

Abstract

This research aim to know performance of market and competitivenessof commodity tobacco as impact alteration of climate in Grobogan Sub-Province. Research is performed with survey method, which is performed to tobacco farmer andmarketer of tobacco. Location was determined by sampling stage from district level and countryside at area sentra production tobacco that is Tanggungharjo District, Tegowanu, Purwodadi and Toroh, at each of district is taken by random 2 country side and is taken by respondent farmer 30 at each of countryside at simple randomsampling, so that the total respondent 120 farmer.

Abstract

The one of development strategy and established of food self-sufficient in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) Province is using food ( rice ) production capacitydevelopment that related with optimize of the using of land resources. This effort has a opportunity to success remind that land resources in DIY has wet land as wide 56.538 hectare and dry land as wide as 262.042 hectare, also un use shore land that can be use for agriculture activities.

Abstract

The consumer behavior analysis in the purchase of a product is influenced by the attributes attached to the product. This study aimed to describe the consumer’s characteristics and analyze the attributes that influence consumers in buying ledre. The research was conducted in two places, Toko Moro Seneng at Padangan Village and Toko Dadi Tresno at Bojonegoro City. The sampling method was done by using accidental sampling, with 30 respondents. The data analysis used descriptive and conjoint analysis.
