Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis besaran risiko usahatani bawang merah dan mendiskripsikan perilaku petani dalam mereduksi risiko. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Bangsereh Kecamatan Batumarmar Kabupaten pamekasan. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan cara kuantitatif dan diskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usahatani bawang merah termasuk dalam kategori usahatani yang berisiko tinggi. Beberapa perilaku petani yang dilakukan untuk mereduksi risiko diantaranya : membeli bibit dari kios saprodi, mengendalikan organisme pengganggu tanaman dengan menggunakan pupuk kimia, menggunakan jarak tanam sesuai anjuran, memanfaatkan tenaga kerja dari luar desa, jika terjadi kegagalan mengambil tabungan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga.

Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to identify the internal and external environment of agro-shrimp crackers and formulate strategies to develop these agro-industry inPlosobuden Village, Deket District, Lamongan Regency.The basic method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method and carried out with a case study. The analysis used was the marketing environment analysis, the SWOT analysis to identify internal and external factors forthestrengths, weaknesses, opportunitiesandthreats, the IFE and EFE Matrix and the SWOT matrix to formulate an alternative strategy in business development. Based on research result shows that the main internal strengths which is owned by agro-shrimp crackers entrepreneur is selling at an affordable price. While its main weaknesses is the lack of promotion. The main opportunities in the agro-shrimp cracker development is still has an extensive market share. While the main threats is unfavorable weather in the shrimp cracker business. Alternative strategies can be applied in developing agro-industry is raising the shrimp crackers production to take the opportunities of technological advancement for food security standards, promoting to attract potential customers in anticipating the new competitors to improve the image of the product, making business licenses and increasing the products diversification through products and services policy dealing with new competitors.Key words: Agro-shrimp crackers, SWOT analysis, development strategy

Abstract

 The experiment was conducted in the village of Lesong Daya, Batumarmar District and Sub Market Waru Pamekasan. The purpose of this study is to know the marketing channels and marketing margins of onions in the village of Lesong Daya Batumarmar District and know the market integration at the level of onion farmers in the village and at the level of traders in the Waru Market, Lesong Daya Batumarmar Pamekasan. The sampling method in this research used Snowball Sampling. While the analysis method used were the marketing margin and market integration analysis. The results showed that there are two marketing channels onion in the Village of Lesong Daya, Batumarmar District and based on analysis of marketing margins, farmer's share, as well as the distribution margin shows that when farmers sell onion in dry conditions on marketing channel pattern I is more efficient than other marketing channel. Based on the analysis of price, strong integrated market in both the short term and long term based on the integration of the average monthly price of onion from January 2012 to April 2013.

Abstract

Large quantity and high-quality salt are demanded in Indonesia, yet the quality of salt produced by farmers is still low. Increasing salt quantity and quality is possibly done through the implementation of geoisolator technology. This study aimed to investigate factors affecting the decision of salt farmers to adopt geoisolator technology. The study was conducted at the salt production center in Madura Island. A survey on salt farmer was carried out during August-September 2018. A total of 190 respondents consisted of 131 salt farmers who adopted geoisolator technology and 59 traditional salt farmers were selected as a sample in this study. Factors affecting farmer decision to adopt geoisolator technology was analyzed using logit (logistic regression) model. The result of this study showed that the decision of salt farmer to adopt geoisolator technology was affected by the number of productive-age family members and the number of dependent family members, land area, farmer participation in the group, farmer participation in extension. Enhancement in the adoption of geoisolator technology needs synergy between extension agent and salt farmer group so that the mentoring process and knowledge transfer will be achieved.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui indeks keberagaman usaha rumah tangga, menganalisis hubungan keeratan antara karakteristik rumah tangga dengan tingkat keberagaman usaha rumah tangga dan melihat melihat keeratan antara tingkat keberagaman usaha rumah tangga dengan tingkat kemiskinan rumah tangga. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara purposive di Desa Raas Kecamatan Klampis dengan pertimbangan desa ini merupakan desa miskin yang memperoleh program gardu taskin 2005. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa variabilitas usaha dalam rumah tangga masih rendah dengan rerata indeks entropy sebesar 0,684. Sementara analisis korelasi menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara umur, pendidikan, luas lahan dan jumlah anggota rumah tangga. Sedangkan kemiskinan menunjukkan korelasi yang signifikan terhadap variabilitas usaha dalam rumah tangga.

Abstract

The consumer behavior analysis in the purchase of a product is influenced by the attributes attached to the product. This study aimed to describe the consumer’s characteristics and analyze the attributes that influence consumers in buying ledre. The research was conducted in two places, Toko Moro Seneng at Padangan Village and Toko Dadi Tresno at Bojonegoro City. The sampling method was done by using accidental sampling, with 30 respondents. The data analysis used descriptive and conjoint analysis.

Abstract

Madura cattle are a type of local Madura cattle based on the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture which is used as a form of germplasm conservation. Besides playing a role in contributing to the beef cattle population in Indonesia, Madura cattle can also play a role as a source of economic, social, and cultural resources for the people of West Waru Village. Madura cattle management is done traditionally by utilizing the resources in the village but has not been implemented optimally. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile, input, and output of Madura cattle farms in Waru Barat Village, as well as to create an integration model that occurs between the components of Madura cattle and other potential components. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with the Miles and Huberman model to describe the profile, input, and output of Madura cattle farms. The results showed: (1) the profile of Madura Cattle farms dominated by cattlemen with an age range of 30 to 64 years, with elementary school education, experience in raising livestock for 10 to 30 years, main occupation as a farmer, livestock business orientation as savings, has 1 to 2 cattle, and intensive maintenance; (2) inputs from Madura cattle include feed, drink, medicines, and labor; (3) the output of Madura cattle is manure; and (4) the integration model includes 3 main components, namely the human component, the plant component, and the cattle component.

Abstract

Pempek dapat diproses menjadi pempek kering untuk memperpanjang umur simpan, mengurangi kadar air dalam pempek, dan mengurangi aktivitas enzim dan mikroba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik responden pempek kering cakalang Hj. Soraya dan menganalisis preferensi konsumen berdasarkan atribut pempek kering cakalang Hj. Soraya yang diinginkan konsumen. Sampel diambil menggunakan accidental sampling sebanyak 96 responden. Analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan analisis konjoin digunakan sebagai metode analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, konsumen pempek kering Hj. Soraya rata-rata perempuan berusia 21-30 tahun, pendidikan terakhir SMA, berprofesi pelajar/mahasiswa, dan memiliki pendapatan kurang dari Rp. 1.000.000. Atribut yang menjadi preferensi konsumen pempek kering adalah atribut berat besar 500 gr, harga Rp. 17.000, bentuk pipih, tempat pembelian di Supermarket, dan tekstur kering-renyah. Harga, tekstur, bentuk, berat, dan tempat pembelian adalah atribut yang dipertimbangkan secara berurutan.
